“Comfortable bed, clean room. Room very small and had to crab around. Room overlooked kitchen extraction fan filling the room with frying smells. Booking in was difficult through the main door and had to check in though the bar at the back. Ok once we found the bar.”
“The room was fine, we had a nice view. Then the fire alarm went off at 5am, apparently only on the 3rd floor. No staff arrived to tell us what to do, we just assumed we should go back upstairs when the alarm stopped. Then it went off 2 more times. Never was this mentioned by the front desk staff who seemed oblivious. Many of the guests who went down the stairs in the middle of the night were quite elderly. We get it that these things happen, but it would have been helpful to send someone out to...
“Was ok. Peaceful location but huge gravel car park directly in front of ground floor rooms was noisy in morning and evening.
Stale smell inside the hotel in general. Staff were overly “formal / professional” - felt almost awkward at times and didnt feel friendly. Hot breakfast for £25 not good value, continental breakfast at £17 also not good value (yoghurt, granola, canned fruit and watermelon).
Good bedding, comfortable beds, but at this price I would not return.”
