"The room was smaller than advertised. Didn’t have a much space. The bathroom was stylish but the shower drain didn't work and flooded the bathroom. Also no hot water from the shower. What saved it a bit was the friendly hotel manager and the nice beach lounge across the road. "

"Mango House is a great place to stay within the Fort at Galle. Property is at a premium in this area so the room was smaller and more expensive than others on our holiday in Sri Lanka. That said, it was still nice and the breakfast was a treat. Great location for exploring as you can walk anywhere you need to with the Fort."

"We had a great stay at Fort Bliss. The staff is kind and attentive. The location is great, steps from the fort wall and close to many dining options. Breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit and omelette. Extra kudos to the breakfast staff for creating a fun vibe. "

"It's a well-located about 10 minutes walk from Galle Fort and less than 5 minutes walk from the railway station. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with good air-con and a fridge. The breakfast is good and the staff are helpful. The pool is also nice. The only downside is that the wi-fi was strong some of the time, but very patchy and slow at other times. Apart from this issue, it's a great place to stay."

"small hotel, big mess behind the reception desk and in the open store room. First they had to change the dirty sheets, a TV with no connection, the room needs a makeover. In short the hotel is largly overpriced, not to be recomended. A new pool is beeing built, no time for maintenance."

"Nous avons séjourné seulement deux nuits pour découvrir la région mais nous avons adoré le lieu et surtout l’atmosphère relaxante et cosy du Jungle Village. C’est une expérience très agréable, les chambres sont vraiment spacieuses et agréable avec une vue sur la canope. L’environnement de l’hôtel nous a ressourcé et relaxé le temps de notre séjour. "I rented an Airbnb in unawatuna which ended up turning in an awful experience. I had to find a new place last minute and I was really happy when I arrived to snooze. It’s clean, the boss is a respectful and kind person who is available to help guests when in need, the room was spacious with ac and hot water. Ended up paying half of what I paid for the Airbnb nightmare. I extended another night at snooze. I definitely recommend it specifically if you’re a woman traveling alone as I am. "
