"I stayed for one night on business. I was looking for somewhere just off the A38 and this was perfect. I was upgraded to a lovely huge room with views over the valley. Staff were incredibly warm and helpful. My meal was excellent in fact one of the best I’ve had in a while. The grounds are stunning. I wish I’d had my binoculars as the huge tree next to my room was alive with birds. I’d definitely return. "

Back at The Bear Inn and after a full day out, you can wind down with the delights of a superb and varied menu, all washed down with well kept ale. The Bear Inn is a really old coaching house, steeped in history; lots of small rooms with exposed beams and fireplaces, make for a cozy and comfortable place to stay or just eat out.
