"The Black Friars has been our best hotel experience so far in our 2 week vacation in Scotland. Our room was very clean, comfortable, and had a lovely rainshower bathroom feature. One can hear some noise from the hallway & a room above. Not a deal breaker. There is no elevator. The onsite restaurant has a nice selection of entrees, very good tasting food and is reasonably priced.My traveling companion has high praise for the braised short ribs and their truffle fries with Parmesan cheese! ...

"Breakfast was good. The view was amazing and just mins to walk to the castle. A bit cold in the room for us Vegas people but they provided an extra heater. Would definitely stay there again. "
