Overall excellent hotel. Spotless, staff were so helpful. Breakfast was a lovely experience with very good quality and service. So close to the Playhouse !! We had an excellent overnight stay and would def recommend, great value for money.

We stayed at the New Town Hotel two nights, each night in a different room. Both rooms were very clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our luggage was stored at no charge when we left on a 4-day tour. The hotel is a ten minute walk to restaurants. The first room we had was on the top floor and there is no elevator. There were several flights of stairs that were extremely difficult to go up and down, especially with luggage. Upon request, our reservation was changed to a first floor room — much better!

The location in Edinburgh’s New Town just a few minutes walk from Waverley Station is perfect. The room I stayed in, despite being a basement room, was spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The only slight negative is the lack of a lift and many stairs.

The New Town Hotel was absolutely immaculate! Staff was wonderful and the room was comfortable and gorgeous. This hotel was the perfect ending to an adventurous day in Edinburgh and a fantastic beginning to kick start a day trip to Stirling. Will visit again soon!
