Easy to get to. Excellent location to meet my needs. Property was clean and spacious. Considering the times we find ourselves in we felt safe. Only thing I would say is there wasn’t a cleaning station when you entered the house as stated in instructions. However there was antibacterial wash in the bathroom and kitchen. We would definitely stay here again.

The property was good for us since we needed a kitchen to cook a traditional Thanksgiving meal. The stove was gas so that was a nice surprise. A 8lb turkey fit fine. There were two bedrooms with linens, wardrobes, a dresser and night stands. Towels and shampoo was provided. The fridge was also a good size. Dining room had a table and 4 chairs. There was a sofa and chair as well. The TV was small by today’s standards but it had service. WiFi was sketchy though. It worked adequately though. The location was great as next door was a great little restaurant called South Pour which had at least breakfast and lunch with traditional, vegetarian, and vegan options which were all terrific. The bus stops right outside so transportation isn’t a problem. Walked to several grocery stores which were close by. No noise except for the odd ambulance.

Very good location, nice space, easy check in and check out. Friendly staffs. Two issues: the wifi is not very good, hardly able to do the work in the evening, slightly better during the day. Extractor in the kitchen not working. Overall, I will recommend the apartment.

The rooms were lovely and clean lots of space, kitchen area lovely everything we needed was available. Great location not far from royal Mile etc will definitely book to come here again.

Spacious urban flat in Newington
Great location. Well kept. High ceilings. Could use a couple of floors lamps and a coat rack. 20 minutes from Royal Mile with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Cosmopolitan. Parking not included, 5 min walk - £10/d until 8. Overnight parking free on street/alley nearby but move by 730am. Buses out front. Helpful host Manu.

I love having a home away from home when I travel so I can make my own meals and relax and this place was perfect for that. It's a little away from the main tourist area which is great if you want quiet and don't mind a walk or bus ride (which was exactly what we wanted).

For the price this is an excellent find - especially if you want to be in Newington or generally near The Meadows or Uni.

Good Home away from Home
Well appointed apartment with lovely outside courtyard. Parking is a pain in the neck so plan ahead on that front but really nice apartments.

Clean and cosy apartment
Easy to get to. Lovely ground floor apartment with outside area. Great communication from start to finish. Only th it to change would be the pillows- not to great !

Lots of room
The property was roomy and comfortable. Close to most things you would want to see. However it was very noisy from the ambulances going past all day with their sirens on. The restaurant downstairs was very good.

Good location
This place is well equipped and convenient. It was clean, close to Edinburgh First for my conference. Newington St is quieter than Waverly Station area but has good restaurants and close to Meadows

Recently we've been drawn more into renting out apartments rather than hotel rooms, the cost you pay for a room can be much better use in an apartment where you generally have more space. Southside Apartments were very nice and generally pleased with our stay. It was a short walk to the centre of Ednburgh and there were plenty of places to eat or drink locally. The apartment was spacious and clean and had plenty of facilities we needed. The only issue was the shared courtyard at the back where unfortunately the same night we were there, there was also a group of people next to us who were outside (assuming fairly tipsy) making noise at 3am. There were times they felt like they were in the same apartment as us, which illustrates how the noise is fairly difficult to cancel out when you're inside the apartment. Apart from this, our stay was very enjoyable.

Very spacious clean apartment. Clean towels and toiletries available as well as tea/coffee making facilities. Great location if you want to be near Edinburgh centre.

Nice apartment, close to amenities
The apartment was perfectly situated for what our stay entailed, parking was a slight issue initially but was soon sorted. We did arrive on one of the coldest and snowiest weeks and so it was perfect that we didn't need the car for the 5 days we stayed and could walk everywhere. We would definitely stay here again :)

Das Hotel hat uns gut gefallen. Es ist direkt im Zentrum und das Frühstücksbüffet ist klasse. Das Zimmer war gut aber nicht auf dem Niveau eines 4*Hotels. Man hat viele Abnutzungsspuren gesehen.

Convenient and comfortable apartments
This is an apartment in the middle of Edinburgh within easy walking distance to University of Edinburgh and to many other shops and restaurants. Bright, clean and warm apartment that is comfortable. The apartment is equipped with a full kitchen and is close to markets if one wants to cook. I did restaurant take-out for my stay as there are so many restaurants nearby. The owner also arranged for my return ride to the airport at 6 am on a Sunday and all went smoothly. I had a heating problem on the first night after I arrived and called the owner/manager and he had someone stopped by right away. I enjoyed my stay and very much appreciate the attention and help!

Excellent choice for the $$
Excellent location on bus routes & an eatery 1 block distant that we particularly liked, called The Abbey & where we would have many of our meals -- good prices on tasty dishes. Only difficulty we had was in initially locating the property which 4 of us shared. Donny as property manager, met & pinpointed the apt; his helpful suggestions found us a reputable cab company, nearby pubs, etc.

that was wonderful and easy. apartment was great and spacy. after I learned how to turn heating properly on, Iand my family loved a lot. location was good for us but for some people more interested in amusements in centre this is little far. (not.walking distance)

Convenient apartment -perfect base to explore city
The flat was really well placed for the Scots Fiddle Fest that was taking place in Summerhall/Queens Hall. We were able to check in early in order to leave our stuff in the apartment before going to explore the city. The livingroom/kitchen was really spacious and comfortable - fantastic sofa. The other rooms were reasonable size, the beds were comfortable, plenty of storage space for clothes for the weekend - there was even a hair dryer (bonus, even though I'd brought my own). Some evidence of wear and tear but everything was clean. I would book here again - great value for money.

Great place, just note there are lots of stairs!
We had flat 1 (3 bedroom/2 bath) apartment, which was super in terms of size, value and comfort. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds were very comfortable. The location is great for access to the University and Arthur's Seat, with many varied restaurants and pubs nearby. I would just note that this property (as a whole) is not very stroller or wheelchair friendly, since you have to go up a lot of stairs to then go further up or down more stairs to access each flat. Keep this in mind when booking if you have children, a lot of luggage, or mobility issues. The property could have been a bit cleaner, but overall we were pleased with our choice to stay here.

Evening thought the apartment was suitable and roomy it was hard to meet someone to checkin which took about an hour as the intercom did not work and the phone number only took you to the main office. After finally checking in the attendant alps led for a large security deposit on a mobile paying machine. Not long after this I had money skimmed from account. Not sure if connected but a bit dodgy. Had to have card cancelled.

In need of some TLC
This could be a fantastic apartment with some repair, redecoration and a lot of TLC - the blinds were cleaned as far as the cleaner could reach, the toiletries on the shower were half bottles left by the last inhabitants, the paint was peeling from the bathroom walls and I could write my name in the dust in places. We were going to a concert at Queens Hall so a brilliant location, the property itself disappointing. We arrived late on Friday so had instructions to get in rather than someone meet us, I got a phone call on Saturday morning to see If we had arrived and agreed to be back at the apartment to be 'checked in' at 4.30 - nobody turned up! Recommended car park is in fact a piece of waste ground with a payment hut (cash only) who does not discount for Southside as advised.

Awful stay
Shabby apartments that are quite clearly not superior. After service shocking, managing director needs to get his facts straight before answering trip advisor reviews, if only he took as much time phoning me back as he did writing his reply. Not once did the director phone me back regarding my complaint, he even stated I should of asked for a refund at the time of my problem, I did ask for a refund during the phone call to Donny, in fact I even asked around 5 times during that phone call. Anyone staying here if you have any problems don't bother reporting them or asking for a refund as all this company are interested in is taking your money. I am sure the director would be asking for a refund if he stayed in the apartment we did with that smell which he still claims to be cleaning fluid that happens to smell of poo and had a random bloke enter the bedroom during his wife's moment of undress.

A verry good choice
The apartment was great. it had all we needed. It was not to far from the city senter. You will also find what ever you need right outside the door.

Comfortable enough for three night stay
Overall the stay was comfortable for the time we spent there. Expectation was a bit higher though. The person who helped us check in was on time and went through most of the important details that we need to know. Our room was the property in no. 11 and it is a bottom floor unit. The door to the apartment is on the first floor after entering the building but one would need to go down a short flight of stairs after entering the room. There is a nice private courtyard shared with another unit on the same floor. I like that there is an in-unit washer. Drying is done on the air drying rack though. The kitchenette is very well equipped. A few downsides: the keyhole to the courtyard door is the old fashioned keyhole where it is a through hole. When other units open their windows to smoke we can smell it. The wi-fi can be quite spotty but not sure if this is due to the location of the unit. I find the Lothian bus wi-fi is better than the apartment lol. If I ever go back to Edinburgh I would probably consider this particular property but maybe a different room.

Fine for a short pleasure trip
Pleasant enough although a bit shabby around the edges. I was late for my arrival so called the office and had to wait half an hour for the (very pleasant) guy to turn up, likewise the same the next morning when a forgotten laptop meant I had to be let in. It would be a lot, lot simpler if this was done by key codes and key safes on the premises like most others such as the SACO chain. Also worth noting that I parked in a bay outside at 3.52 only to have my car towed to Leith and a £20 cab ride and a £180 fine after that! It seems that it changes at 4 from pay and display to 'clear way' be warned! Otherwise a comfy bed, nice toiletries but no bath and an adequate kitchen for a short stay. Wifi hit and miss and no phone reception as its a basement, so not a great choice for business travellers.

felt clean and tidY, kitchen lacked a few items to cook with ie baking trays and lots of bits missing from knives to pans. But all in all very comfortable, bed was great, baby catered for with cot and lovely touch to have tea and coffee available . Squeeky floors were always likely in an old building location great . Will definTely book again
