"It is an architecturally unique structure. I can't speak for all the rooms, obviously, but my room (traveling alone) with a single king-size bed felt a bit cramped. The room consists of a "living room" with a couch for additional people to sleep (I guess), but the overall layout was a bit awkward to me. The bathroom was also relatively small. The pool was closed (March 28-29), but the Jacuzzi was on. There was live music, which I missed (ending around 10 PM). Continental breakfast was a bit of a disappointment. No omelet or bacon. Since I do not eat carbs, all I could eat were boiled eggs and cream cheese. I'd say "avoid it." They serve a regular breakfast, too. I should mention an awesome amenity: the shuttle. It was very helpful for getting around the vicinity, and it is free (but you should tip). "

"I chose this property because it was rated 4-Stars and EXCELLENT. I knew as soon as I arrived it was not going to meet my expectation as a 4-Star property. No valet. Carpet in the entry to the lobby was shabby, worn and dirty. Lobby was dark with outdated decor. Check-in was easy. Staff was incredibly friendly. We were told our room was in another building and where we could self-park. Room was spacious and of traditional Santa Fe/Native American decor. But it was TIRED. All the outlets were loose. There were dents in the walls, stains on the upholstery and scratches in the mismatched furniture. The TV was at least 15 years old with no connectivity options. During our stay, the AC was not working. The room was stuffy and never got below 74'. Sheets were stiff and smelled of bleach. Hand-held shower was broken and hanging by one screw in the shower. The gym was small and had no TVs or connectivity. As a lifetime Platinum member with Marriott, I would compare this with a very tired, outdated Sheraton. The one highlight? The staff was LOVELY and so helpful. I wasn't aware that the property is the only one in Santa Fe that is owned and operated by Native American families. Their pride in their work is evident. The hotel is traditional and has the potential to be a unique gem in the market, but they need to heavily invest in refreshing this hotel to make that happen."

"Great location. Be sure to double check parking fees. Info is inconsistent between staff, signage and online (i.e., pool & restaurant hours; no gift shop). Feels a little neglected overall. Room was dated but clean. Mattress was awful- like a stack of mats. Coffee pot tasted old but lobby coffee was pretty good. Restaurant breakfast was great and the staff there was amazing. Very attentive and friendly. Housekeeping was also great. Front desk staff was ok. Most were nice but they shared inconsistent hotel info from one another. One person was downright rude when I questioned that she stated different pool hours than posted on a sign and online. "

"The historic bungalow that was our room was very charming, and surprisingly spacious! However, there was a lack of attention to detail. For example, while our room did technically have a fireplace, it was wood-burning and there was no firewood. When I inquired about firewood at the front desk they said they were not currently providing it due to fire risk, which would have been good to know in advance. It was in the low 40’s at night, and one of our decisions for booking was the fireplace. Similarly, there was a coffee maker and coffee in the room but no cream or sugar. The location of the coffee maker itself was odd because the cord was too short to plug in. There were not enough outlets in general for the gadgets we carry around and I was constantly unplugging and moving things around to plug in other things. A minor issue, but something they could easily remedy. On the positive side, the breakfast was great, the parking was very convenient and included, the staff was friendly and the location was very walkable. Overall, a nice place but not exactly as advertised. "
