“There's no pool, which is okay because I wasn't in need of a pool. The room was not very clean. The bathroom mirror had brown dripping streaks, the desk chair was peeling/ falling apart, the hot water wasn't hot, and a smelly carpet that smelled like cigarettes. The king bed was alright but only made with 2 rock- hard pillows. When my husband went to the front desk to ask for more pillows the guy accused us of having extra people in the room, which was odd. He then said they were out of pillows....

“This hotel has a retro aesthetic. It is slightly awkward, yet cozy overall. It had a full size coffee pot but only a four cup coffee pod available for use. The coffee pot was set appropriately on a table near an outlet but the outlet didn’t t work. The hair dryer appeared to be a wall unit but it was set in the bedroom dresser drawer. “I liked this place and I'd definitely stay again in the future. I really appreciated the continental breakfast; there's a waffle maker, hot savory foods, and lots of the good stuff you would need for breakfast. The pool/ hot tub was nice! I also appreciate the rooms with a balcony view of the lake, it's a nice view. The staff was very kind! My only complaint is the bed/mattress was very uncomfortable and hard. “Tried to stay local to save money and travel time, but none of that happened here. The pool and spa was closed even though they offered it online and on the sign directly outside the building. Our toilet didnt work in our first room. So we were offerd the key to the room next door to use the bathroom. Just to find saw dust and hair in that bathroom. We have stayed here in the past and had great experience. But not this time. Things sure have changed at the super 8 for the worse within 1 year. ”

“Front desk was open very late, thankfully. I needed to work out of state and didnt get done with the job until 7 p.m., it was also 2.5 hours away. Deposit was returned to my card promptly, which shouldn't be a talking point but I've been scammed out of it before. Didn't eat breakfast so I have no opinion on that. Shower was nice, the infrared in the bathroom worked, and the mirror was modern. Overall great stay.”
