"Location, location, location! Booked Hotel Baia based on location reviews and yep, most definitely the best for Cascais if you want to be within walking distances of the beaches, restaurants and shopping! Rooms are a bit out dated and need a bit more attention to some cleaning, but we didn't spend much time in our room so it was not that bothersome. The breakfast included was FANTASTIC! Definitely not your standard continental breakfast, by North American standards any way! Covered indoor pool was ok for cloudier days, but be forewarned, it is not heated, so being there in April when it wasn't warm did not feel great! No other major concerns and would definitely stay again! Appreciated the underground parking but there is a charge. Not much and worth the stress of trying to find street parking if you are renting a car."

"-Room cleaning at 4.30 pm - Shower temp control so bad switches cold water and very hot water at its own. Dangerous to have shower, chances of burns. No effort by staff to rectify - No one responds to 900 only number provided for any help or service NOT A VERY HAPPY EXPERIENCE 😟"

"The room was clean, staff were very attentive and nice, breakfast was good, the outdoor and indoor pools were good. The issue with the hotel was the decor and comfort levels, which made it feel like a 4 stars hotel, but definitely not 5 stars. The rooms are all quite bland - beige and brown everywhere! Without a hint of charm or Portugal. Missing things like slippers, cofffee and tea making facilities, which I realised, on the last day, had to be requested from reception. The indoor pool looked worn and sad. The bar areas and various lounges were dark, uncomfortable and sad The seating everywhere in public areas was uncomfortable. It’s quite annoying that this hotel could really be so much better with a little thought and interior decoration. The layout is ok, although there’s a lot of walking and few lifts to the room levels, although I presume it’s the nature of the actual building and mixing of new and old. The chapel is amazing. On the whole the stay was disappointing and frustrating, as there are other choices with much better charm, comfort and service levels. ☹️ "
