First time visiting this area, so had no idea what I was getting into when I rented this cabin. The good things were that the bed was comfortable and TV service was excellent, but this is a very remote area with limited options for travelers with pets. Would not stay here again.

The communication with the property staff was excellent and they were very accommodating. We really loved the property and the cottages are very cute. It was very peaceful and relaxing. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchenette was very equipped with everything we needed. We were however disappointed in the shower and the mattress cover. The shower head didn’t work well, and it was actually painful when the water hit me. Also, the mattress protectors had stains on them and looked as if they were soiled.

Beautiful, quiet place. Well maintain and tranquil. Great location to explore the lower Trinity and not too far from the coast. The place is significantly better than I expected and I expected it to be good. The nearby Thai food is just a bonus. A delicious bonus.

We liked the cottages as opposed to a building with many rooms. It had a cosy feel to it and was clean and warm. Even though we were only there for less than 12 hrs, it had everything we needed.

Great place to stay!

I stayed here for the week while I was out of town for work. It's a beautiful place. I loved the lights that they have along the road leading up to the cottages. The cottage was very clean and cozy. The kitchenette is perfect especially if you don't want to eat out and like to make your own meals. It was too cold to be out on the deck of the cabin, but it would be great for sitting out during warmer weather. It was very quiet as well. I would definitely stay there again!

Cute cabins, with a fun little stage area. The cabin was comfortable, the radiant heat flooring in the bathroom was the BOMB on the cold morning. The fire place didn't work, but we were only there one night so it wasn't a big deal. They called and left a VM for me with the check in details, so I was able to avoid human contact which I LOVED! Overall, I highly recommend this place.

Charming little cottages, but we arrived after the sun went down and there wasn't anything lighting the road to guide the way to the cottage, and only small lights where the numbers are from the main road, which made it difficult to find. Bathroom was beautifully remodeled and clean, however, in the kitchen, living room and bathroom there were sizeable cobwebs in the high corners in each of the rooms, as well as on the bedroom blinds. A good stay for the price

The cabin was beatiful. The bed was wonderful. Everything I needed was there. Even Ice in the freezer. BUT I can only give 3 stars because the door frame came off of the front door when I checked the security lock. I was traveling solo. I ended up pushing the kitchen table in front of the door to feel safe. Also, this property is very isolated with no one in the lobby. It was too far away from anywhere. Took about 90 mins to get back to Arcata to hike in the Redwoods. I did get a kick out of the Bigfoot Museum though.

We loved the aesthetics of the room with the exception of the lighting. We highly suggest installing an overhead light. The little dinette was nice as were the double bathroom sinks. The mattress could use upgrading though. There were other nice touches like the grill out front and the fireplace, although we couldn’t get it to turn on. Instructions may have been helpful. We received the checkin instructions while our phone signal was not available but thankfully did not erase msg. When we got to the property the office was closed. When we tried calling the number on the door, it went to voicemail. Then we remembered to go back to our voicemail and found the cabin number and code. Several times that night, the neighboring tenant’s car alarm set off. It was very disconcerting, especially knowing there was no one in the office to investigate. We decided not to stay the second night, forfeiting those fees because we felt unsafe in a somewhat isolated environment. The best part about our stay was finding Mac’s Diner down the road. Delicious breakfast in a 1950’s diner setting.
