“Jewel Lake was a house style Bed and Breakfast. You make your own breakfast, but the kitchen was stocked well. Our room was in the basement with steep stairs so I don’t recommend those rooms for older travelers. There are rooms on the main floor of the house. Clean and comfortable. We would recommend for a short stay. Most people use it for cruise layover time. We took an Uber into Anchorage and did a tour which was fun too. ”

“The property was very comfortable and clean. Also very convenient to downtown and a walkable distance in a safe neighborhood. Many extras, bikes available, travel info and a good selection of books if you enjoy reading. Nice optional grab and go breakfast available. I would highly recommend a stay here”

“Well appointed, clean and comfortable accommodations. Common area is designed well with nice view and breakfast bar area with all the amenities. Mel was a lovely host who made us fresh muffins in the morning. ”
