"The hotel and room were clean. The shower/tub could have been cleaned better as you could see the soap scum ring around the tub. Overall it was good for what we needed for the time we were there. Pool area was warm, but the pool was cold. It is an indoor pool. Breakfast was good."

"This hotel appears to have been renovated within the last couple of years. The rooms are updated and clean. Water pressure excellent. Positioning the vanity and sink outside of the room with the shower and toilet is good for families. They added another sink on the opposite side of the wall from the vanity. That puts the coffee/food area / mini fridge separate from the bathroom area. Nice layout. Flooring was tile or vinyl planking. Easy to keep clean. The room felt clean and fresh. Horse-oriented artwork was attractive. Hallways were clean! Lobby was clean. Pool is outside and a little awkwardly placed (and shaped) at the end of the property. Breakfast was alright. My son thought it was good. Coffee was pretty good ... no problems there. Only downside was that the grounds outside werent in great shape (shrubs, back parking area not too good). Maybe thats the next improvement. Neighborhood was mediocre and despite a pizza place, a bar and a restaurant nearby, this isn't the area you'd start walking around like a tourist. Very close to airport and would be fairly short drive to Churchill Downs. Based on new stores and conveniences just up the road, the area is improving. To summarize, the hotel was nice inside, not so great outside. But parking there felt safe enough to me - just not too appealing visually."
