โHad a lovely stay at the Limes, staff were incredibly accommodating and room was lovely. Had all the facilities we needed. Would definitely stay again if I was in the area! โ
โI have often stayed at this hotel when travelling for business in the area and it never disappoints. The service, staff, ambience, excellent food and easy car parking, makes it a must stay. Always a genuine welcome and the pwners / staff happy to chat whilst you're there. Fantastic breakfast and a great dinner menu, congrats to the chef for thier consistent wonderful, tasty food.โ

โLovely rustic pub / hotel. Room was great with the most comfortable bed Iโve slept in for some time. Kitchen was closed for refurbishment but only a short walk into the centre of the village. Good choice of cask ales in the bar. Will stop here again if work brings me back to the areaโ
โNice comfortable hotel an easy walking distance from everything in Colchester. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was good quality. I liked the fact that breakfast is 'a la carte', as that reduces wastage. Cleanliness is good and the staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend!โ
โCharming old building with cosy rooms. Excellent restaurant downstairs. Nice views of the river and sailboats. Right at the promenade.
Access to the rooms through the staff area of the kitchen. Private bathroom was not en-suite.โ
โThe staff were very helpful from the moment I arrived. I needed to book an additional night and thought that might mean a different room for two nights as Expedia said they couldnโt do at their end. They were very accommodating and gave me a room upgrade which was lovely. They carried my luggage to my room. Breakfast was amazing. Servers were friendly. The front desk agent arranged transportation for me when I left. A very pleasant stay. โ

โReally nice hotel. Managed to use gym and pool aswell. Breakfast was really good and well presented.
A little annoying you have to take the towel from your room to use at the pool.
Parking is an additonal charge.โ

Decent sized Kitchen at each end of the corridor i didn't use them but they looked fully kitted out and new.
The hotel is on a quiet residential street but took me 5mins to walk into the town centre which has loads of bars, shops and restaurants.
Worth calling ahead of arrival and they'll reserve you a parking spot (There aren't many spots)
Nice bloke on reception showed us our rooms and kindly found me a fan.
