Best hotel in Frankfurt

The "loft" style of the room was awesome!! In a quiet neighborhood but within five minute walk to the main shopping area Ziel. It's not crazy like the area near the Hauptbahnhof (main train station) but civilized and the restaurant attached to the hotel is resonable with great tasting food and great service.

Great Place in Fantastic Location

I loved The Flag. I was looking for a hotel in the West End close to where I once lived. The Flag was modern and the rooms were unique. The service was excellent and the staff was warm and welcoming. Next time I’m back in Frankfurt I will look to the Flag once again.

This hotel was very conveniently located and the rooms were a god size and well kept. The staff was friendly but not super efficient. However, I found the beds not super comfortable. Also I made a reservation with breakfast included and upon arrival was told that in fact it was included but was charged breakfast, for some reason, the last two days of my stay. The hotel employee insisted that it was not included in my reservation. I think all in all it was an expensive hotel for what it offered.

The best thing was the front door of the room which provides good insulation from the noise in the corridor. The front desk staff was polite and helpful (young students I believe). The worst was the air con, either too strong, or not enough and noisy. Also I am not a fan at all of the transparent glass wall in the bathroom. A bit of privacy would be better. The room is a bit smelly too. There cleaning is only once every 3 nights (I have confirmed this with other residents). There is no drinks in the fridge.

My stay at The Flag West M. was everything I hoped that it would be: easy to get to from the airport after taking the S-Bahn, safe and quiet neighborhood, and conveniently located in terms of getting to the city center and restaurants nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only complaint I had is that the person staying in the room next door was very loud - it sounded like they were moving furniture and stomping around late into the night. I'm not sure if it is because of thin walls or I was just unlucky.

Mattresses are outdated and need to be replaced.

The mattresses are too soft and definitely need to be replaced for a while. Be aware that Room cleaning is only every three days. They only let you do early check-in when you pay extra, even if rooms are cleaned already. Location is very convenient.

Nice hotel but bring bathrobe

No bathrobe and an ice cold room is a bad comination. You can only change the temp 3 degrees +/- and it was ok for sleeping but not getting up! Comfortable bed but terrible pillows. Breakfast is very nice with everything one can wish for and over all the service from the personell is outstanding. The hotel is located very convenient close to Ubahn station and very close to "innenstad". Nice, quiet area and safe to walk even at night.

Great hardware (large room, facilities) and location (5mins walk to opera house) but completely let down by the services. I stayed for 4nights and did not get a single refill of coffee and complimentary bottle of water. Since there is no phone in the room, each night i had to go to reception and queue up to request water and coffee capsule.

Nice hotel, terrible pillows and air con.

Nice, well maintained hotel with good location and parking - just make sure you pre-book the parking, otherwise its a 10 minute walk to the nearest garage. The hotel doesn't have its own restaurant and bar, there is an adjoining restaurant you can make a purchase in and take to the hotel lounge. Bed was comfortable but the pillows were TERRIBLE, either one tiny pillow or a huge overstuffed square pillow. I can't stand this trend for square pillows. Looked nice on the bed but made for an awful nights sleep, either virtually no pillow or neck at 45 degrees. Aircon was odd. I followed the instructions in the room and it just kept pumping out heat, even when set to the lowest setting - range was +/- 3, not temperature. Even when turned off it kept coming on with heat. Had to sleep with the window open which was freezing. If I had to I would stay here again but given a choice I will try an alternative.
