When the weather heats up, head for the relative cool of the coast. Water Bay is located nearby and is a tranquil place to relax by the sea. Lie out on a towel or on loungers. Put your swimming costume on and dive through the gentle breakers that roll onto the shore.
The seas here are full of marine life, with Coki Beach offering some of the best snorkeling on the island. Discover the rocky ledge at the eastern end of the bay where you can spot snappers, wrasses and rays searching for food. Back on the soft white sand, purchase ice-cold drinks and tasty snacks from sellers as you sunbathe. Hair-braiding services are offered for a fee and handmade jewelry and other souvenirs are also sold here.
If you enjoy diving, or have always wanted to try, make your way to the scuba diving school set up behind the Coki Beach. Instructors will teach you how to use all of your equipment before taking you out on a boat to spot tropical fish, turtles and conga eels that live on the offshore reefs.

View stingrays, turtles and small sharks in outdoor pools and marvel at tanks of tropical fish, many of which can be seen swimming in the open waters around the U.S. Virgin Islands. The Ocean Park also offers sea lion encounters, a fascinating underwater observation tower and semi-submarine excursions.
