“Just a warning, the snug is behind the bar owned by the same family. There’s a small driveway at the end of the bar a hairstyle place and some other little shops. The hotel was very quiet and comfortable. The rooms were huge and the bathroom is very nice and all brand new. In the morning we did have some toast and tea and it was nice to have the availability of fruits and vegetables and yogurt and so on for the free breakfast the host was very nice.”

“As part of your stay, you have access to the lodges rather than the castle itself. The castle can be admired from the outside, but it is currently closed to the public, so you can’t go inside. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, very well maintained and a pleasure to walk around. The lodges are set up as individual houses, each with four rooms, a shared living room and a kitchen for guests staying in that house. The kitchen is equipped with a coffee machine and tea making facilities. The...

“My only complaint would be the 25e charge for the hydrotherapy. I have stayed at many comparable properties that do not charge for hotel guests. It was lovely however and we enjoyed it very much. ”
