“Room was clean but small. Mattress and pillows not that great.”

“Enjoyed our stay at Sugar Boat. Lovely loft room and a tasty breakfast. Relaxed team looked after us.”

“From the moment we walked in, we were treated like royalty in the stunning castle. Our bags were immediately taken to our room in the tower, reservations for dinners, suggestions for hikes and exploring and help with arrangements for our departure in a couple days. “Nice hotel for a few nights, breakfast and dinner handy in the restaurant. The decor is starting to show its age, was told a make over is planned.”

“Excellent hostel! I stayed in the Court - I’m a light sleeper and even with earplugs, I woke often as people were coming and going at all hours of the night. Disturbances would likely be less in the other rooms. The facilities, social aspect of the hostel and the staff were top notch! They have activities each day to connect you with others. As a solo traveller, it was incredible and more reason to stay in a hostel. Price was great for Edinburgh and the location cannot be beat!”

“Lots of character, dining excellent, breakfast less so with limited range of non cooked foods.”

“Everything was great at The Oak Tree Inn! Staff were wonderful (especially Kay) so friendly and welcoming! The pub was so nice with a cozy fire. Our food and drinks were great. Our room had a great view of the water and the sunset.”

“The cabin/cottages were nice, and updated. The restaurant Palomino and main building is getting dated and service is falling off. The breakfast was great as usual and most staff is friendly. Wifi is terrible and non-accessible or very slow at best”
