Gorgeous setting, helpful staff, excellent food. Only complaint is that we had to sit outside in the rain waiting to check in. Webpage says the lounge is available to guests who arrive before 4:00 pm check in time.

Great staff and a good stop along the Al west Highland Way. Can’t beat the location right on Loch Lomond! (Be sure to get in for a swim!). Would have 5 stars, but the showers were pretty rough.

Gorgeous location.

Fabulous location. Reception staff were welcoming and friendly. Comfortable bed. Shower could have been a little more powerful. Evening meal wasn't brilliant but overall good value for the price.

Es war ok. Es ist ein Hostel und da kann man halt nicht viel erwarten. Es war sauber, eingermassen gut in Schuss, jedenfalls schottische Verhältnisse. Das Essen war auch ok. Hartes Naan und trockene Gipfel zum Frühstück, muss man wohl hinnehmen.

In the middle of nowhere :D

Very nice place in the middle of nowhere! Beautiful located at a lake with view on the mountains. The consequence of that middle of nowhere is that the wifi from the location (almost) never works, so does your own connection (depending of your provider). Rooms are small, but okay. Sleeping rooms are nice heated, but if needed they provide additional bed sheets. The rest of the building is pretty cold so take a sweater. Great, kind people working. Big kitchen and common room with view on the lake and mountains. Really recommended to come to a good rest, and of course for a hike to the mountains.

Beautiful

Lovely hostel in a beautiful setting. Everything was clean, the bed was extremely comfortable. The food was good. The room was a little bit on the small side for 6 people with luggage but manageable. The only real problem was the women's showers which appeared to have some sort of drainage problem and left you standing ankle deep in dirty water. Hopefully this will be sorted soon!

Wir suchten eine Unterkunft für eine Übernachtung am Ende der 2. Etappe des West-Highland-Ways (WHW). Die Jugendherberge war im Rahmen Ihrer Möglichkeiten o.k. - erholsamen Schlaf findet man in einem Acht-Personen-Zimmer allerdings nicht. Dafür hübscher Bau mit toller Lage direkt am Loch Lomond und direkt am WHW.

Quiet retreat conveniently located for walkers

Good quality room. Friendly, helpful and efficient staff. Nice quiet location on Loch Lomond close to Ben Lomond and the West Highland Way. Good value for money.

Ett hotell som är mycket vackert beläget vid Loch Lomond sjön med en betagande utsikt vårt rum låg i hotelldelen och höll hög standard. Hotellet är avsides beläget och ganska svårt att hitta till. Utmärkt för vandrare då en vandrin gsled startar där .Ganska livlig bar-restaurang ,med backpackers, barnfamiljer mat OK

Wunderbare Unterkunft auf dem West Highland Way

Wir waren für zwei Nächte hier, eine Station auf dem WHW und ein Stützpunkt für die Besteigung des Ben Lomond- es war perfekt, das Zimmer großartig und die Bar bzw. Terrasse als Belohnung bzw. zur Erholung perfekt...jederzeit wieder
