We found clothes and items in drawers left by the previous guests. That should have been spotted by housekeeping.
Breakfast was excellent.
The adjacent wood walks were the highlight.
I was staying 2 nighs to attend a wedding which was exceptional. The hotel is luxuriously cosy. Excellent big, clean, comfortable room and bathroom. Excellent food and drink. Great staff. Good parking.

From the moment you walk in the hotel you are treated by lovely people doing all they can to make your stay amazing.
Beautiful building which has been very well restored. The bar and restaurant are really nice and the food was fantastic. Very good value for money and the staff were lovely, I would book again.
We only had a brief stay but the hotel was large and very good value for money. The room was very comfortable, clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The grounds are lovely and location perfect.
Great hotel and service. Very friendly and professional staff. Beautiful location. Fantastic breakfast (quality of the food and its presentation, and reasonable size of the portions)
Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Great breakfast options. Nice lounge areas.
The hotel room looked a little tired but otherwise enjoyed our stay!

Lovely hotel, had a deluxe room which was a great size, only complaint felt room quite dark, no main light. Great choice for dinner and 2 or three course set meal very good value. Breakfast choice very good as well. Definitely recommend
Check-in was fine. There was a wedding on (on a Monday) and was left with a feeling you’d crashed someone’s party. Staff were obviously busy with this wedding so not so attentive to other guests.
Main gripe was the additional £25 charge on the room for having our dog with us which wasn’t mentioned in any of the booking material. It’s good to be ‘pet friendly’ but also please be transparent about the charges.
