“Room excellent, upgraded to executive room, but on 2nd floor, with no lift working. This was OK, but only because we had very light luggage. We really need a ground floor room if there's no lift now, as we are both pensioners sand beginning to experience mobility issues with stairs.”

“We enjoyed our stay very much. The hotel was very convenient for walking into Lincoln and shopping, with many and varied pubs, bars and restaurants within a short distance, but driving was a different matter. Luckily we managed to find a space in the Hotel car park every night - it seemed to fill up quite early - and didn't need to pay the extra to use the NCP down the street, so that was good! “Fabulous hotel the decor is amazing lovely bar area and restaurant etc bit disappointed by the so called private secure car park wall fallen down no barrier etc our room was large very nicely decorated but no air con was extremely hot and stuffy and room was above the kitchen extractor fans incredibly noisy and smelly don't want to really smell boiling vegetables at 8 am!!!? Or 11 pm for that matter did get us a gan to try and help but didn't really make a lot of difference a different quieter...

“We had a great time. Staff were great (mostly) and really helpful and friendly. Food in the restaurant was excellent, my wife and I loved every dish. The bar was well stocked with some great (and favourite) scotch so that was a bonus. “Sofisticated elegant clean and very comfortable. Beautiful rooms with extra lounge rooms with second TV. Lovely showers. Breakfast was simple but fresh well presented and clean. “Expedia should be ashamed to charge for accommodation in what was a hostel for vagrants. During the period that access was unavailable to us, a neighbour told us that the Hamilton was used to house council-sent people, and we saw three such unfortunate people waiting to enter. “I was a bit worried about staying here having read some 'iffy' reviews, but I needn't of. For being a 3 star hotel I thought it was great. Location was perfect, breakfast was good, lovely choice of food. Our room was good and overlooked the cathedral. The bed was very hard so we asked for a mattress topper which they put on for us. It didn't make difference and we still had 3 nights of not sleeping through the night and waking up in pain!! Could also have done with a hairdryer on the room, but...
