"The Congress is a very welcome change from where we have been staying in Chicago for some time now. The staff was very nice and the room, but that’s tall ceilings and it also look to be freshly made over, was a very welcome change from where we used to stay. Highly recommend, excellent location right downtown the next time we visit Chicago, we have found a new home."

"Had a wonderful stay because of the friendly service from the staff. I was greeted warmly at check-in. I had a minor problem with the room upon entry I called front desk and they immediately helped me out and switched rooms giving me an upgrade for the trouble. I went to the restaurant that evening to watch Jays game and both bartenders were very friendly and attentive. I went in for a beer but ended up staying for dinner. The housekeeping service was incredible too. I ended up getting a bad head cold and stayed a second night. Housekeeping gave me extra Kleenex and made sure I had enough blankets and said to me if I needed anything else they were just in the hall. I was amazed. Receiving genuine friendly service these days is rare and I had great service from every staff member I encountered. The room rates are budget friendly but the service is 5 star luxury hotel level "
