If you’re looking for a little getaway with your family this place won’t disappoint. It’s not camping, it’s not glamping it’s somewhere in between and absolutely lovely. I felt like I was in a summer camp at the lake and camping at night in the comfort of a cabin and a bathroom. This space is thoughtfully designed and even though it’s small, it’s all well laid out. It was very clean and had just what we needed for our family of 3 (with an infant). Johnson’s beach is so cute and Guernville has great amenities- wine, massages, great food, etc.
The location is superb, close to the river, safe swimming, close to the main street with places to eat. The cabin itself is a mobile home in wood and in good condition, king size bed but only 1 side open, you need to climb over your partner to go to the bathroom at night . The shower lacked pressure on day 1 and was ok on day 2. Over all small and expensive but wonderfully located!
Room was very clean and well stocked. The amenities in the room were modern and well taken care of. It was pet friendly and had a great environment

Pros - right on Johnson's Beach, walking distance to grocery store, shopping, and restaurants, room itself was very clean, shower water hot, bed very comfortable, manager kind.
Cons - VERY loud (you won't get much sleep), property as a whole was pretty dirty, lots of homeless right around the general area (we didn't feel totally safe), curtains don't fully close and give privacy, check in was a bit of a sketchy process, in my opinion it was very expensive for what you received

Nice place, close to downtown and the river beach. Friendly staff make this a go to when I visit!
Awesome little cabin with everything you need for two. Loved being able to stay with our dog. Really cool to pack light and cook for ourselves. We stayed off season so it was just us. Host was really sweet and checked in daily. Super short walk into town if you want to go to a bar, eat at a restaurant or grab coffee. Can imagine it being really fun to hang on the river when it’s warm. Thanks again we needed a nice getaway.
Very friendly staff at check in. we loved being able to have our Dogs with us. this location is both right on the river and walk able to all the restaurants and shops in town.
Honestly staying in the little cabin was great. We read the reviews about it being spartan accommodations so we just prepared accordingly. We were able to cook some pretty good meals with the cookware we brought. Brought our own coffee making stuffs and we loved being there.

Cabins are located in town and close to Johnson's Beach. Beds very comfortable but amenities are quite spartan.
Loved the tiny home we rented! So close to the water and the Main Street in town. Chris was super friendly and helpful. Check in/out were easy and convenient. Will definitely be back.
We stayed in a teeny-tiny cabin. Nice shower with nice products. Good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Nice bed! Two burner stovetop and mini fridge. Fire pit and picnic bench in front of each cabin. Just a few steps to Johnson’s Beach. Just a few blocks from Safeway and restaurants. La Bodeguita Mexican restaurant is a MUST. Property manager Chris is very kind and helpful.
I like how it’s situated close to the water and the ability to walk to restaurants and grocery store.
I didn’t feel comfortable that the deadbolt didn’t work on the entry door or that the curtains didn’t close enough for privacy. As a single female alone I felt uneasy at night.
Overall wonderful place to stay. Great staff. Thank you.
We stayed in a bungalow. Clean, very comfortable bed and bedding. Plenty of new clean towels. A little more rustic than we anticipated, no screens on windows and no air conditioning so it was pretty warm inside when we checked in. It does cool down fairly quickly so with the oscillating van they provided and the ceiling fan we slept well. Be ready for quick temperature changes in the shower. If you want river/beach access it would be a great choice.
I wanted to love this place and it has a lot going for it, especially the location and variety of accommodation options. Unfortunately, in our historic cabin the mattress and bed frame was terrible and almost impossible to sleep on. Such a bummer because the parachute bedding was great!! You can also hear everything your neighbors are doing as the walls are super thin, but a sound machine can help with that. We ended up leaving a night early instead of facing another sleepless night. Super cute location and everyone was very nice and accommodating. I would definitely visit again if I knew the mattress got an upgrade.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Overall the room was quite cozy and charming. However, the seating in the kitchenette was in a state of disrepair and potentially dangerous with sharp nails exposed when placing your weight on the "bench". Also the shower became scalding hot whenever someone else on the property flushed or used the cold water(?). These 2 criticisms are worth mentioning mostly because of the luxury level prices we paid for our unit. For the $360 per night cost for our stay, we should have had a room that was not in disrepair. Also worth mentioning the "campers" on the property were quite rowdy and loud during our stay. Obviously a great location right by Johnson's Beach.

It has been many years since I’ve stayed at Johnson’s Beach (I still frequent the beach yearly) & the bungalows have clearly been updated. The bed was comfortable. However, the water temp in the shower fluctuated between cold & scalding hot. My left arm was red due to the hot temp. I chose not to bathe my 6 year old as I was concerned the same would happen to her. Our bungalow did not have an area rug as shown on the website photos & I think having one would’ve greatly helped with the cold morning temperature as the flooring has open slits allowing cold air to seep in. There was a wall heater, however it did not seem to be working. I ran the scalding hot shower to help heat the room. All in all, I would stay here again, you can’t beat the proximity, but I would be more prepared for the cold & would probably use the camping showers (hopefully they don’t have the same issue).
