Also known locally as the “Grüne Lunge,” meaning “green lung,” Eilenriede really does add a breath of fresh air to the busy city streets.

Rest your legs after your walk with a visit to the Lister Turm Biergarten. This authentic-style beer garden has a wide range of lagers to quench your thirst while you take in the view of the Lister Turm. The Lister Turm is a building dating from 1895 with many decorative features. The large tower is a copy of the original one dating from the 14th century.
