โI stayed for 2 nights to attend concerts at the state fair. The parknand ride is 3 blocks from the hotell for state fair - expectedly nice. The riverbwalk acrost the street is awesome for running - i did 7 miles up and down each side - so beautiful. my motorcycle found safe parking in front of a main window. My room was good nothing bad to say at all and i will be back. Inlove Des Moines, it is funnand friendly โ
โWe came down for the fair, we love that you have a shuttle that drops us off right by the entrance!! We did get back around 11pm and were told the bar was to be open til 12. The female bartender was very unfriendly and unwelcoming, started closing things up at 11:20p and made last call. โ
โThe Des Lux is a beautiful hotel. Beds are comfy and spacious. The hotel bar is much better than most, craft cocktails. Lots of great dining/cocktail options within walking distance.โ
โA very nice hotel in a great location in north western Des Moines. Large room, nicely decorated with a very comfortable bed. All employees were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast, although not elaborate, was very tasty and filling. โ
