"I first stayed at this Home2 in downtown Birmingham shortly after it was built in 2017 and I've stayed there since because we liked it. It is convenient to UAB. However, I must say our visit this time was completely disappointing. It reminded me of on of those cheap roadside motels that we stayed at many years ago. 1. The bathroom sink was rusted and dirty around the grout areas. 2. The shower would not shut off and it's levers operated improperly. 3. The refrigerator had water running from underneath it completely across the entryway and into the bathroom. Perhaps from a defrost cycle. (It took some of our linens to soak it up.) 4. The couch was stained and stank of body odor. 5. Wires for the TV were piled in a tangled mess on the cabinet, with no effort to manage them. 5. There was a general feel of disrepair throughout the room. Yes we told the cleaning supervisor on the floor and the front desk upon checkout."

"The rooms were not cleaned. The staff is not prepared to greet you or help you the parking you had to hunt. The valet is down you don’t know whether you were getting your car or not. The bar was never open. The elevators did not work you had to use the stairs or service elevator for all weekend."

"Excellent room, the staff was amazing, food from blaze was terrible, it’s sad that the pizza dough was so wet it broke apart. For the price you paid for a large pizza, shrimp and grits and a garlic mash, plus the delivery and 20% gratuity it was over a hundred dollars. Someone needs to reevaluate there cost plan or hire a better cook. I’m not gonna call them a chef because blah. But the hotel was amazing other than the food. "

"For two nights we did not have hot water. Only in the morning. We had a take cold fast showers .Also they don’t have housekeeping. They throw the trash away but don’t do the bed or bring clean towels. Front desk not very helpful. I would not stay at this hotel again. "

"It's a gorgeous unit in a gorgeous building. Everyone who lives and works in this building is super friendly too! The only thing I didn't love was hearing music from the cars on the street below but there is no way to avoid that since there are such large, beautiful windows."

"When booking the public parking option was not clearly stated. If you don’t use the Valet option you are left to use public parking…that is all the website has to say or indicate and not show a price which infers that they offer valet and public spaces. Also, the walk from the garage in combination with the location of the room elevators make this location nothing short of a chore to access and maneuver."

"Just stayed to sleep. Floor was dirty. Sheets were dirty (or stained), pillows looked old and nasty. Beds were not comfortable. Every time my husband made the slightest move the whole bed shook. It was a very noisy place to stay. Not to the fault of the hotel though. You could just hear very loud vehicle or motorcycle very clearly off the highway. Was a non smoking room but smelled like smoke. We did not get a good nights sleep."
