My Poor rating is due entirely to the hotels retention of my $100 "room deposit" for almost one week. Staff promised that the deposit would be returned on the day I checked out.

Dear Jackson, On the day of checkout, we do release the incidental old to your bank. It can take the banks up to 5 to 7 business days (not including weekends) for them to release the money back to you. Please keep in mind that banks can be delayed due to holidays.

Although it was a lower cost option to the two other chain hotels in the area, I would not stay again. Probably because it was slightly less cost, it was filled with local labor workers. The parking was crowded and the people were loud late into the night and then very early in the am. The room was marginally clean and the tub was stained.

For what we need this is the best priced property there. It is very quiet, it is an older motel, but is comfortable. It fit our needs for the 2 days we were there. Breakfast is nothing spectacular, but we managed. Usual items for a 'continental' type breakfast.

My boyfriend and I discovered feces in the bathroom shower tub. The staff was able to clean it however, management did not feel as though we deserve a discount or any other type of compensation for the inconvenience it caused. The fecal matter ruined our stay.

Just to let you know that it was not feces and also the hotel staff resolved the issue by replacing the shower curtain and cleaning the tub thoroughly to your satisfaction within 5 minutes of you notifying the front desk staff. There is no discount and/or compensation for the issue was handled quickly. Again our apologies for this.

The cleaning staff were wonderful and friendly, but when I checked in, the Manager stated there was no category of PTSD for service dogs, basically calling me a liar. His ignorance and desire to lecture me ruined my stay. I'm a retired peace officer and do not need to lie. My dog's CA Service Dog License is clearly visible on his collar, but you can't fix stupid. 😒

Nice stay
My overall visit was OK but I was mostly only there for sleeping. The beds, I think, could benefit from new mattresses. It would be nice to have two of the small bars of soap when there’s more than one person staying. The bathroom vanity would benefit from a little more detailed cleaning. The size of the refrigerator was very nice.

I did not like anything. Went for a wedding and have stayed at nice Best Westerns in past-this Sure Stay was a dump especially for $212 a night. I believe because there are only 3 hotels in this area for the wedding venue they take advantage of that and have these insane prices!! Upon arrival I was told the water would be off for awhile. It was 100 degrees, so I walked around the hotel and every vending machine on the property was Out of Order, so could not even purchase a water. Bathtub was really dirty, and got up in the middle if the night to use the restroom, turned the light on and 4 bugs scurried into the corners!!! So disturbing!! Really hampered the joy of the Family wedding for sure :( Wont be staying at Best Western's ever again!!!
