โExcellently maintained property surrounded by serene natural beauty. Located in the midst of mountains, it gives spectacular views and an amazing feel. I booked it only for a day, but one day is just not enough to relax and enjoy.โ
โEven housekeeping gals were great! Helped us find what we needed. The guys at the office were very friendly. Loved being able to walk the back door and hear and see the water.โ
โThis is an older property but itโs in fantastic shape. The rooms are evocative of old-style timber lodges, not sleek or super modern but absolutely clean, comfortable and certainly charming. My wife and I stayed in Estes for a couple of days to pick our son up from camp and we would certainly return here next time we need to do so. The location is also perfect โ close enough to downtown Estes without being in the hustle and bustle of all the tourists.โ
โGreat property very easy and convenient check in and check out beautiful room and beautiful area. I would definitely recommend this place the fire place s a delayed ignition issue that should be corrected. But that didnโt impact my stay as the fire place still worked.โ
โI liked that the cabin was right next to the river. The cabin had a private hot tub that was relaxing to soak in under the starry night sky. The gas grill was a nice addition to the deck to grill food on. They're was plenty of chairs and tables around to sit . They have a horseshoe game there to play. They're was lots of wildlife animals near by. I would definitely like to go back and stay there again! Awesome hospitality! Thank you!โ
โLoved this place. We had our own private balcony with a view of the mountains. Would have liked more vegan options for breakfast, other than that it was paradise. โ
โDiscovery Lodge is a nice home base for visiting Estes, with a quick drive to the park. It's located near the free trolley, which is worth checking out in advance to better plan your trip.
Breakfast could definitely use improvements, and make sure to shop for water at the grocery store (nearby) in case their dispenser is not working. The rooms & beds were clean and comfortable, and view from the back balcony/ windows is beautiful. During the fall, elk are EVERYWHERE! This trip was my 4th time...
โEnjoyed my stay. Canโt say much more. Wish breakfast was a little better but it wasnโt bad at all. It was quiet and my bed was on the firm side (but I like my beds that way). So if you like the bed that way youโll like it here. Would stay againโ
โThis place is a total gem! I couldnโt have asked for anything more! The room has everything you need from a microwave, larger size mini fridge, coffee make and all the toiletries in double. They had generous refreshment offerings for guests and all the staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. The property is inviting and warm. I really loved the architecture of the cabins and my room was spotless. The walk to downtown is on a paved walkway but there is a free trolly as well for guests so...
