First clue to not stay there: 4 hours prior to our arrival, we get a call from the manager saying he was having trouble charging our card for the weekend.I told him he’s not allowed to charge our card until we check in.If we don’t show for our stay then he can charge us for the first night. He continued to get irate and argue with us.
As we arrive we see a very small parking lot that can barely fit the cars there before we even tried to park. We get our key cards, go to the room, only to find out the door doesn’t lock from the inside. We get the person that checked us in to come take a look and he “attempts” to fix it to no avail. My husband then tries to help him. As a guest is walking up the stairs he said, “that door still isn’t fixed? I stayed in that room 3 weeks ago and it was broken then.” As the employee and my husband tried to fix the door, just so we could get through the night, I figured I should check everything else. The shower head blew off the pipe it’s connected to and water went everywhere. Also, a tweaker came asking me where to find Skunky while I’m in the room. Drug deals going on up on the 2nd floor. My husband and the employee finally got the door to lock from the inside but then wouldn’t latch from the outside! We asked for our money to be refunded since this would not be a safe place to stay. My husband asked for the manager’s name (who was hiding behind a shut door). The employee was not allowed to give it to us. He said we could contact Expedia.
