작지만 훌륭한 호텔
직업상 많은 국가에서 여러가지 종류의 호텔을 이용한 사람들 중의 한명으로서 평가할 때 전반적으로 훌륭한 호텔이라고 생각한다. 저렴한 가격, 청결상태, 정숙성, 직원의 친절도, 호텔조식, 공항 및 시내로의 접근성 등 여러가지 면에서 만족합니다.

We asked for a double room but was given a twin, staff were no where to be seen when we tried to question. Room was cold, and smelled musty, almost damp. The room and the bathroom need to be updated, facilities were poor. You have to pay £10 to park your car which is unreasonable considering. Wouldn’t recommend.

The stay was great, the room was clean and had everything you need. The breakfast was great and the staff was very helpful in offering recommendations.

Experiência decepcionante
O hotel parece bonito por fora, mas por dentro é terrível. Três fatores principais contribuíram para minha avaliação: recepção, limpeza, e qualidade da cama. 1) Recepção: o hotel é arcaico e não é permitido early check in mesmo que tenha quartos livres, cheguei as 13:00 e tive que deixar minhas malas sem segurança nenhuma e sem tag com nomes no hall do hotel. Péssima experiência. 2) Limpeza: o quarto tinha teias de aranha nos cantos uma aranha de tamanho grande em um deles. A toalha que me entregaram estava manchada de maquiagem. 3) Qualidade da cama: a cama era velha e defeituosa. Saio do hotel com dor nas costas, a cama formava um "U". Além disso, a qualidade do travesseiro e do edredom é questionável, com grandes manchas escuras. Minha recomendação é que procure um easyhotel ou ibis na new town e você será muito mais feliz

The driveway in the parking lot is disgusting. Some nasty water alwYs dripping down the middle with all kinds of ick in it.

I didn’t get the room pictures on my booking which was disappointing as the one I got was not as nice. Mould in the bathroom is concerning.

I enjoyed my stay at Cumberland. There’s very little to dislike– the room was lacking a certain level of coziness that you might expect from a more modern hotel, however this is a result of the “old-world” charm of this classic hotel. The room was spacious and provided a lot of natural light as it had a big window to the garden. The window could also be opened to allow for fresh air. The bathroom was clean, and provided good shower pressure and comfortably hot water. Aside from the room, the services and spaces were very good. There was alway someone available to help at the touch of a button– and they were very generous and helpful. The hotel design and common space were very charming! The style of the hotel lended to the overall ambiance of being in an old city like Edinburgh. The hotel spaces were large and numerous, which includes a lounge, bar, dining area and outdoor patios. Finally the location was very good. I like that the hotel was removed from the city noise and crowds, but very close to all amenities, restaurants, transit. I was delighted by the nearby neighborhoods and finding cafes, shops and more. Special mention for Coats Café which was a lovely establishment with good food, pastries and coffee. Thank you Cumberland for your service and hard work!

While the outside is gorgeous and staff friendly, the room had old worn out bedding with stained pillows, the bathroom had bargain plastic pump bottle for soap which made it look cheap (vs their own individual soap). I was surprised by the lack of quality considering it is a chain hotel. Seemed more like a hostel operating out of a once nice property. The rear garden is overgrown. The location to the train station was good, great restaurants close by (Dine Murrayfield was superb).

I booked this hotel as it had a restaurant, was only 4 minutes from where my husband had eye surgery. Menus on all the tables in the bar area, asked what time started serving food, to be told we don't do food, I said you have menu's on tables, staff member was not helpful at all. So it was Tesco express for dinner. Shower was unsafe either water too hot or too cold without touching temperature control

Quaint and clean
Very clean old building. Nice rooms: we had a family room that slept 4 people easily. Within walking distance of the center of town, but also on a city bus route, and a few blocks from the airport tram.

Hotel très viellissant, bruyant, un filet d'eau pour essayer de prendre une douche, température d'eau bouillante impossible à régler. Situation moyenne et mauvais rapport qualité prix.

Very pleased
Really nice hotel, the staff were really friendly and the rooms were really nice as advertised. The car park is a little tricky to spot from the road and then park in because its so tight, luckily it wasn't full which made it easier. There was an extra £10 a night charge to park there I didn't see advertised so keep that in mind. Good location, we managed to walk not too far to some food and bars nearby. Close to Murrayfield stadium which is what we wanted. Breakfast was decent and there was a good selection of drinks in that area which is also the bar in the evenings I believe.

Decent comfortable room. Was really disappointed with the hidden parking charges. Was not nitres in the description for the hotel. Would have stayed more local to where I needed to be if I knew I had to pay for parking

Oppholdet varte i fire døgn, og var totalt sett over mine forventninger. Det var kaffe, og te ++ med en vannkoker. God seng. Kort reisevei til sentrum. Toalett og dusj fungere utmerket. En liten pub og stue dersom man ønsket å være sosial.

ruhige Lage nicht zu weit vom Zentrum - Schallschutz zwischen den Zimmern ist sehr mangelhaft - Bad ist neu gemacht, aber Wandhaken fehlen und beim Betreten gibt's volle Beleuchtung 5 Min. lauten Ventilator. Gerade nachts ist das störend. - der Kühlschrank ist sehr laut. Tip: Stecker rausziehen :-)

Great stay at cumberland.
The stay was very good . Friendly people , very helpful. Breakfast was great . It was presented beautifully, and tasted great .The only thing was we thought it in with the price. Other than that we really enjoyed yhe stay. Thankyou cumberland.

Really nice helpful staff, quiet comfy room (was right by reception so worried it would be noisy, but slept brilliantly). Convenient for Haymarket.
