Really helpful start, no issues whatsoever. 5 stars to the team. Pool and Gym good. Rooms very out dated, not good carpets.Paper peeling off my ceiling. I did only pay approximately £70 . Ok for Hens and Stags.

The room was very tired, with curtains hanging off the rails and masses of cobwebs & patches on the walls and ceilings. The bathroom entrance had an old gridded ceiling with fibre panels that were dirty, stained, and falling to pieces. Aside from the disappointing room, the bar is good, as is the restaurant, and I cannot complain about the evening meal. I had fish and chips, which were very tasty. Breakfast is a buffet, and it was well laid out, with plenty of cooked, non-cooked food and plenty of drinks. If only the room was better, I'd have probably given 4 or possibly 5 stars.

Plenty of parking spaces. Food was good. Not enough wardrobe space in junior suite. Junior suite was totally under utilised for the space they gave us. Staff were quite helpful. Over all a good stay. Would recommend.

Lovely stay, location was ideal for us being close to family and the venue of our event. The entrance was clean and tidy and the welcome by staff was great, The room itself was a little tired (mainly the bathroom) but everything worked well. A fridge in the room would have been nice. Our cleaner Lisa, although we didn’t meet her, always left our room lovely, replacing the towels and resetting the room perfectly. A big thank you to her for finding my husband’s watch our daughter hid. Standout service so thank you. The pool was lovely, lessons were going on but didn’t interfere with our leisure time. Again the changing rooms a little tired but no issues with them. Husband said the gym was good so I’ll take his word for that. Would have been better if this facility opened slightly earlier on the weekend for convenience but we also visited in the afternoon too. There was a couple of weddings going on for our second night but was pleasantly surprised we weren’t disturbed by the music or wedding guests. Would return to the hotel, good value for money.

Appeared to be a little run down in parts. Carpets upstairs were dirty and stained. Bedrooms were clean and had hair dryer and irons/boards. Beds were very comfortable. The pool and hot tub were lovely and welcome after travelling in the heat. Towels provided. Staff were friendly and helpful. Did not eat there but had a drink. Prices were astronomical £27 for 4 lagers. Despite that would use again.

The room was basic and appeared to have been made up in a hurry - wastebin liner not fitted to allow waste to be deposited and no teaspoons. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. There was evidence of repair work in the bathroom where different tiles had been poorly fitted - but it was clean and functional. The pizza served at dinner was as good as you would get anywhere in mainland Italy - obviously fresh and piping hot. Breakfast was excellent, a very good selection to serve all tastes, hot food hot and a good selection. Friendly and attentive staff, although a call to reception went unanswered for some while during a busy check-in period. The current drought conditions didn't show off the gardens to their full potential and paved walkways had quite a number of loose slabs.

On the plus side, the hotel room was clean and warm and the bed was comfy. Staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Parking is free and plentiful. Didn’t use the restaurant or pool, so no opinion on either. But… this is not a 4 star hotel. Room 207 was a bit tired and in need of some updating - bathroom especially. Fixed shower door over the bath means you have to be in the bath to turn on the shower - and a shower head that really needs a descaling. I tried to scrub the shower head using a spare toothbrush, with limited success. Toilet flush was loose within broken tiles, which meant I struggled to flush without some repeated use. Room, although generally clean, is basic. There is a very tiny hanging space, but that’s it. There are no shelves or drawers - at all. I was travelling solo so it wasn’t a problem, but a couple staying more than one night have absolutely no storage space for anything other than a few shirts. Also, no safe or any kind of secure storage for valuables. Tea & coffee making facilities - I was put off by the kettle. It required descaling - and de-rusting. The hotel is in a great location and the communal spaces feel well maintained, but if my room is typical of the accommodation it needs a big refresh if it’s to capitalise on the benefits of the location.
