Hu Firenze Certosa is a nice retreat from the bustling tourist center. The swimming pool is nice, it is affordable, the rooms are nice and staff is great.
We stayed 1 night and we absolutely love it!! The pool area was great!! The restaurant is good and good prices. The room was clean and the air conditioning works perfect!!!

Disliked: Cleanliness
The overall cleanliness is very bad. They provide used towels with stains and hairs. Also sheets was not very clean. The food in restaurant was very good. And staff service is good.
Room was fine- ac was a bit loud, beds were clean, bathroom had one tiny bottle of 2 in 1 shampoo/body wash and 1 roll of toilet paper (they only supply enough toilet paper for one day and then you have to buy more in the market). The property itself had a pool (nice for lounging, not so much for swimming), a market, and restaurant (both overpriced). There’s a shuttle to Florence but it only runs from 9:30-7 so you can’t get breakfast or dinner in the city (hence the overpriced restaurant and market). Overall the property has everything you need, but just expect to pay for it.

The room is nice, price is good. But the swimming pool hours are not convenient as they open only from 11-7p so you cant check out City of Florence much if you want to use their pool. The room is nice but the view is not as good as all we see are the back of the other Bungalows. No internet in the room ( we stay at the new Bungalow areas). Dusty area in front of the cabin as they layer with small rocks. Its far from the bus stop ( about 11-13mins) and dangerous to walk to the bus stop as there is no side walk. It costs about 40$ for 1 way taxi to Florence center.

I guess you get what you pay for, we got a cheap deal so i guess they gave us a "cheap" room.
The bathroom door didnt shut, the door didnt fit in the frame. I had chewing gum stuck to the side table. Only one main light switch worked, there were exposed wires. The heating didn’t work, the mattresses dont even fit the sides of the small bedframe, you roll right off. 'Bungalow' is VERY misleading only when you go directly to the Hu website do you see that actually your get nothing in the room, not even cups for water.
We were out all day and only sleeping there so i didnt raise the issues as issues when there, as moving to another room would have been more effort, i did mention on check out.
The bus is 15min walk - convenient, but dodgy road no pavements.
The shower was great, hot and powerful.
The area is very nice and parking is convenient.
Staff were lovely.
Might suggest removing "camping in town" from the name as it seems many many people go to the wrong one and its not in town, very much outside.

Fantastic! The staff was very helpfull, the rooms were impeacable (and warm) and the dinner at the restaurant was delicious. Better than an hotel in our opinion. Congrats! The only drawback as lack of EV charger... but they said it was coming..
Kids loved the pool. Beds were nice, but there was not much free place around the double bed. Wi-Fi did not work throughout our three nights stay though the personal kept on saying it was being fixed.
Staff was not helpful
Make sure about bus reservation, most of the time bus is full to Florence and you won't get space and you have to wait for hour for next shuttle.
Staff very bad, won't prefer to stay
Probably the worst bed in the world, definitely the worst bed in Europe. The sad story about this ,is actually the response from the staff. When I noticed the staff about this problem, it felt like they did not care at all. I found mold in the bathroom, just look at the pictures. I believe I got sick because of very bad ventilation.
Amazing, affordable camping site! I stayed in a GlampingTent as a solo traveller, for 2wks, higher up the hill, away from the highway noise! I experienced a super peaceful and relaxing holiday! No noise from neighbours either! You can sit on your terrace at night listening to the crickets, its that calm! Tents super clean, terrific bathroom & double bed! Aircon (and heater)! Substantial amount of sun loungers and parasols always available, even when busy in the midst of August! Great pool area and music for kids/families! Although there are equally, quieter areas, nestled under the trees, for solo travellers and couples, seeking peace, at an area furthest from the pool! A shuttle takes you into town every hour from the site and collects to return, every hour, in town! It is just a 15 minute drive away (€2.50). From there you can sightsee Florence, visit museums/architectures/history, shop, eat, catch a train or/and take a Hop On Bus tour around Flourence! This is a perfectly located rural site, yet near the city! There is a well stocked supermarket and a great bar/restaurant on location too! All the staff were friendly and happy to help! A massive shout out to Gianluca & Arthur on reception, who were both extremely helpful! Always happily assisting with every request! These guys go way beyond the call of duty, so tangible recognition in terms of a pay rise for these two guys please! 🙏 Ultimately, a terrific holiday experience will be had here, so just go book it!! 😊
BETTER THAN A HOSTEL !!! I stayed with my boyfriend, and we looked into hostels to save some money, but at the end of the day we were paying the same prices as a hotel stay. And for maybe $20 more we got this place which had so much more to offer. Starting with a PRIVATE ROOM and PRIVATE BATHROOM AND SHOWER. The basic housing option was a two room housing. But you don’t really hear next door. And our neighbors had kids, and we slept totally fine. Our room has A/C so we slept nice and cool. For the price of hostel, this location offered TWO POOLS, one for kids and one for adults. And they were definitely big enough to swim around. And much space with the POOL CHAIRS for everyone to enjoy the sun. They do offer TRANSPORTATION into the central city. But you can catch the LOCAL BUS that’s 7-10 mins away. Commuting from this location was totally easy and safe. I believe the last bus home was around midnight. So definitely enough time to be in the central city to come back later to your room. And FRONT DESK is open 24/7 so there’s always someone there for your needs. I’ve seen some reviews complain about the pricing for the restaurant and food market at this location, but to be honest the RESTAURANT PRICING was fair and convenient for those breakfast, lunch, dinner meals. They had plenty of option to offer from their DINNER MENU. So you’re not missing anything out eating at the stays restaurant. I would 100% come back here, and choose this over a hostel!!

You know when we were in school, they told us how the Romans once ruled the world. Well… for us, they still do. And no, this isn’t CNN breaking news — it’s just a fact of our travels. Who could resist falling in love with Italy’s incredible landscapes and charming towns?
From the glittering Amalfi Coast and Capri Island, to the volcanic drama of the Aeolian Islands — Stromboli, Lipari, Panarea — and the turquoise waters of Sardinia’s Maddalena and Porto Cervo. From skiing in Cortina d’Ampezzo and chic Portofino to the timeless beauty of Tuscany, which will forever hold our number one spot.
We’ve explored 97 countries, met countless people, and seen wonders across the globe. Yet Italy remains our numero uno destination — for over nine years now, we’ve been coming back at least twice a year. Our travel motto is usually, “Never return — life is too short, the world too big.” But somehow, Italy keeps breaking our own rule. There’s something here… a magic that pulls us back every time.
