"The room was lovely and the hotel building was modern and well located, however we had a few issues which affected our stay: 1) spa access is not included in the price which was not made clear on Hotels.com at all, you have to reserve access separately 20 EUR pp, just for access to the pool and sauna for 50 minutes. The reception staff were unhelpful about this; I appreciate that the spa is a separate company but reception did not offer to help us book or give us any other information; 2) the staff were generally unhelpful at check in, providing nothing except room keys (no info booklets etc) and no help with bags / recommendations etc which we would expect at a 5 star; 3) we had emailed and messaged ahead asking to ensure there were 2 separate beds, we got no replies and upon arrival the bed was set up as one king - we had to call down and have this fixed; 4) the room was only cleaned once in our 4 night stay - we often had a do not disturb on in the morning but there was always time in the afternoon when we were out and yet it would not be cleaned."

"When we checked in we made sure to book a shuttle for our early flight with the nice young man who checked us in (the main reason we chose this hotel). Also we were told we could buy a coffee at that time. When we arrived in the lobby at 4:45am, the young man on the desk said we were not booked on the shuttle and we could not have coffee. We were panicking we would miss our flight. I politely told him we 100% booked a shuttle and said it was very important we got on it. He wasn’t happy and made no attempt to communicate with us about solving the problem. The girl driving the shuttle bus said for us to load on it. Miscommunication between evening and morning staff and morning man made no attempt to be helpful or kind or problem solve with us. He acted like we were the problem and just didn’t book it. "

"We really enjoyed our stay at the artist hotel. The interior is beautiful, very fresh and clean. The location right next to the Guggenheim Museum could not be any better. The view from the rooftop breakfast bar is really stunning. The bedrooms are very comfortable with lovely large beds. Bathrooms are modern and easy to use. We would definitely stay here again."

"Spent one night before an early flight. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was excellent. No hot eggs, but fresh fruit, bread and the variety was good. Much better than expected! The shuttle was a bit confusing. It parked where cars park for drop off. It was black (in US Holiday Inn shuttles are white) and I never saw the logo, which doesn’t mean it’s not there. Luckily my friend saw it, while I was checking out a different van. It does seem to come pretty often, 15 minutes or so."

"The shared spaces are lovely. They really make an effort to make this place feel comfortable, clean and welcoming. The actual room though are not great. Just bunk beds with curtains. I guess it is nice to have the toilet, sink and shower in the room, but when you are sharing a room, I would have preferred having a more private space for showering etc. the street behind the room I stayed was incredibly noisy. I was able to tune it out but if you need quiet to sleep make sure your room is not facing the street. "
