"We visited during Memorial Day weekend. The rooms were clean, but the property is quite old, so the rooms did not feel as modern or impressive as expected. The resort had nice restaurants, live music, good food, and a great café. The spa was definitely the highlight of the trip.
The lazy river area seemed more suitable for toddlers and younger kids because the water flow was very slow and it was extremely crowded, making it difficult to really enjoy. I have visited properties in Orlando where, despite large crowds, guest entry was staggered and managed much better. That allowed people of all ages to enjoy the experience comfortably, with timed turns and less overcrowding.
I would say the pricing was significantly higher due to the holiday weekend, so overall it did not feel like great value for money. The location is also somewhat far from downtown, the tramway, and other activities — usually at least a 30-minute drive — so planning ahead is important. Uber availability was good though, and rides were generally available within 10 minutes.
One disappointing part of the experience was the reservation policy. My booking allowed modifications or cancellations within 24 hours of booking at no extra cost. However, when I requested to delay my check-in by one day, the request was not accommodated, and I was charged for the full extra day even though I did not stay that night. That was unexpected given the type of reservation I had booked.
Overall, it was a good family trip."
