"Perfect location for restaurants, and venues. The metro was a 3 minute walk away to get to all the museums and monuments. Staff were all friendly and kind. Only complaint was one of the USB ports by the bed was loose so I had to use a different spot to charge electronics, but there were plenty of working ports."

"It was so noisy. We were on the 2nd floor and I’m not sure what they are doing in the restaurant but it was like they were moving furniture on tile from about 8 am to 11 pm. So after 4 days of little sleep I’m ready to get home. The place is nice and in a good location to get to the Metro. The staff were nice. If you do stay here, stay above the 2nd floor at least. "

"On the surface, I had a lovely stay. The staff was kind and helpful. The room was serviceable. The location and the price were amazing. However, when I returned home, I woke up the next morning with bed bug bites on my arm. It has been nearly a week since I have returned home and the only bites that have surfaced are the ones that I found following my stay at this hotel. Which leads me to believe that sadly the bites came from my stay at Gateway. I was thinking of staying here again for my next trip to DC, but I will now never stay here again and strongly advise against staying here to anyone else. "

"Room was very clean. Breakfast buffet was delicious. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooftop bar was a disappointment, not because of the view, but could not get waited on. They were not busy either. "
