"First thing is this is an old building. This gives the impression of character and the Jubilee hotel had plenty.
The staff were friendly and within a few minutes I was settled in my upgraded room with a sea view.
The room was comfortable with the tea and coffee usual suspects and a very good shower.
This hotel is very well situated being a five to ten minutes walk from the shops and one minute walk from the beach.
I will definitely recommend for a short stay."
"Although the hotel is an older building, all of the furnishings in the rooms, reception and dining room were very tasteful. The staff were excellent and very helpful. The breakfast was delicious and lots to choose from both cooked and continental. Overall a very good stay"
"This place is a hidden gem. Staff are all brilliant. We only stayed over night but would happily spend a decent break here. Breakfast choice quality and presentation are fantastic.
Thank you all at Bridge House. "
"We had a fantastic two-night stay at The George. Every member of staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely keen to make sure our stay was perfect.
We stayed in Room 2, which was comfortable with a great-sized bed and a lovely view over the harbour. Tea, coffee, fresh water, towels—everything we needed was there and thoughtfully prepared.
Breakfast was included, and the Full English was cooked perfectly. There was also fresh fruit, Greek yogurt, and orange juice, which made for a great start to the day.
The bar in the evening had a brilliant atmosphere, with a mix of locals and tourists that made it feel really welcoming.
A special thank you to the host—you made us feel so at home. We’d definitely recommend The George and would happily stay again."
"Yes parking and staff were ok food was poor i saw multiple customers complaining about the food. Property condition very very tired windows were boarded up up stairs, not being able to have breakfast until 9:00a.m is an issue so for those reasons i wont be staying again, shame cos its a great location for visiting customers in Portland "
