The room was clean and bright. It opened up onto my own balcony over the river. I could have stayed forever. The staff were amazing. Kind and helpful as well as cheerful. I loved my stay.

Cheap but not so cheerful!

When we arrived they didn’t have our booking which was worrying but luckily they had a room for us. The room itself is incredibly basic and the bed is very hard. The communal area is quite nice overlooking the lake and there is tea and coffee available. Good location walking distance to plenty of restaurants and shops etc. The service wasn’t brilliant, the staff kept themselves to themselves and made you feel like you were in the way a little. I guess you get what you pay for with this place!

La Guesthouse est jolie d’extérieur. Les chambres font l’affaire au vu du prix, seulement deux savons durs étaient mis a disposition et qu’une personne avait de l’eau chaude pour la douche… En effet c’est quelque peu bruyant avec les bateaux et les concerts sur l’autre rive mais j’avais prévu les boules quies :)

Nous avons été surpris de trouver le logement, pas tout à fait comme illustre les photos, la propriété laisse à désirer, certes le prix n'est pas élevé, mais trop bruyant autour.

Fantastic location overlooking the River Kwai. Very clean. Staff very friendly. They don't serve food but there are plenty of places close by (especially the vegetarian restaurant 2 doors away from Tesco - this from meat lovers).

Romantic river view

Very nice location with friendly staff. Room with individual balcony overlooking the river - really classy and special. Room itself nothing special but with all you need (ac, bathroom etc). TV doesn't add value as all it produces is pixel-pulp - I wasn't there for the tv though.

Super emplacement très bon rapport qualité/prix

Guest house très bien placé, car elle est dans la rue des restos et autres bars mais suffisamment en contre allée pour être très calme. La terrasse avec vue sur la rivière est juste parfaite. La chambre et propre mais nous n'avons pas pu avoir un lit double... Salle de bain ok: dans les standards thaïlandais. Location de scooter et landry service très proches.

Tranquil, friendly and centrally located

I loved my time here! The staff are so friendly and helpful. The rooms are basic but everything you need. I think for me the top qualities are: friendliness, tranquility and location. It's right on the main stripbut you can barely hear the music from the bars when you're in your room. The main woman helping me (I don't now if she was the owner or staff) went or of her way to take care of me. I banged you their motorbike pretty bad and she wasn't upset but was patient while I sorted myself out. The rooms on the water are gorgeous but I actually prefer the basic rooms upstairs as they are quieter. The only improvement I would recommend is softer beds but that is just a western preference and the beds are too hard for me in general throughout the country.

小虫算什么，有蛇。

私隱度高，住了3晚完全没人入房清洁打掃，毛巾樽装水也是自己取往接待處更换，第一天早上在门口不遠见到有一條約一米長青色草蛇，出入要小心。附近很多食店，便利店，旅游代理，租車（房車，机車，自行車）有河景。

Good value guesthouse

Good location in walking distance of shops/restaurants and train station, walkable to bus station and bridge over river Kwai but a bit further. Room was a good size and clean but bed was hard. Nice view from communal area over river. Friendly staff although limited English. Could do with new curtains as the ones currently there barely fit the window and makes you feel a bit exposed on ground floor rooms.

Good location

Good budget stay. Had a ground floor double fan room which didn’t get over hot even during the day. Overall was clean, a little dated but functioned well. Liked the outside seating area for each room. Bathroom shower had hot water, toilet was a scoop/manual flush. Unfortunately the bed was rock hard even for Thai standards, it’s like a solid slab of foam covered in plastic lookalike leather, bit odd. Staff didn’t speak much English but always made an effort to try and understand and help, they do laundry onsite for a really good price too. There’s a big terrace overlooking the river which is great for watching the sunset. Ten mins from train station and a leisurely 40 min walk to the River Kwai Bridge. Off the main road so quiet but just 100m from 7/11, restaurants etc. Bus station a bit far, can be walked but better to get a tuktuk. Extended from 1 night to 3 and would stay again.

良い安宿です。

シングルベッド2つとバスルームと扇風機のみの部屋に2泊しました。値段からすれば清潔で良い部屋でした。トイレは自動水洗トイレではなく、手桶でバケツの水をすくって自分で便を流す必要があるので、初めての人は「エエッ！」と思うでしょうね。でも東南アジアの安宿ではそんなに珍しくはないです。トイレのミニシャワーはちゃんと付いてるので、お尻は洗えます。壁の扇風機がイマイチで、常に「最強」レベルにしていたので音がちょっとうるさかったです。まあでも慣れますが。

I enjoyed staying there. Ordinary single room homestay. However good location, in the middle where the cafes, open air restaurants n pubs in the evening onwards.
