"Good place to stay in Kandy. Walking distance to most attractions. Unfortunately hotel has NO lifts and being 4 stories may prove difficult for some. Wide stairs and port service does overcome this but could be better. This should be highlighted in advertising. Breakfast buffet excellent, with evening meals available. Great view over Kandy spoilt a little by substandard building close next door. Hotel unlicensed for alcohol but I understand this is being addressed."

" Cool historical hotel in central location. Recommend the courtyard/ non city view rooms because it is centrally located and the road is busy. We stayed for one night and it was perfect to see what we wanted to see in kandy. "

"The room was excellent clean and tidy, but our room was just above the dining/ restaurant area they had loud music on from 7am which woke us up, the location is super with great views, we wanted to try catch of the day (fish) meal. Waiter told us it will take 25min but took an hour, but wasn't sure if it was fresh or frozen, lovely staff, and good location with great views. "

"Great place to stay in Kandy! Rooms are clean, comfortable, and shower is great. Staff are true professionals and definitely want you to have a great stay. Hotel is perched atop hill just outside of town. Plenty of nice restaurants nearby and the town is a nice 20 stroll down the hill. Staff hooked us up with a great driver for day trip to Sigiriya. Great place to stay!"

"Positives - friendly, helpful staff, reasonably priced and well located on the lake. Breakfast was pretty good. The young guy on reception was particularly helpful and polite Negatives - we had booked a delux room but as hotel busy, we were given a very poor room despite having pre advised the hotel it was our anniversary. Spoke to manager and paid for an upgrade to best room the following day which was much better In summary, an average hotel in need of modernising/ refurbishment but ok...
