“I stayed for two nights (Friday & Saturday) at Craglands Guest House in June 2026. The host, Eldon, was very friendly, helpful and hospitable. The rooms are clean, spacious and the beds are perfect for a pair of weary trekker legs at the end of the day. The guesthouse is a stone’s throw (4 min walk) from a pub which was great for the football. Keswick town was around 15/20 mins walk or an easy 5 min drive - perfect location for any stay you’d like to plan in the area. I would definitely...

“This is a wonderful place to stay--convenient to the train station and the center of town, but in a quiet area. We stayed twice, before and after hiking in the Lakes District, and stayed in two different rooms. The beds are very comfortable, and both rooms had space for us to spread out. Tip: when it's really hot, the lower floors are cooler! Breakfast is great; we only got the continental, but it comes with porridge or overnight oats, and the menu for full breakfast looked fantastic and Sue...

“Very friendly and welcoming. Excellent breakfasts and generally a comfortable place to stay. Having a guest fridge and being able to heat your own food instead of eating out every evening was a great facility.”

“Amazing location and amazing hotel. We loved our stay however it could do with some refurbishment. It is a dog friendly place so maybe could do with a deep clean in the restaurant area. The food was good but all the dog hair everywhere was a bit unpleasant. However we would still come back.”

“I really enjoyed my stay here, owners were so nice and helpful, while i am not a vegetarian the breakfast was really good, perfect omelette and I really appreciated the butter was actually at room temp so it could be spread and not rip the toast apart. “We have enjoyed a fantastic 2 night stay, the location was spot on only 2 minutes to Lake Windermere and the ferry landing point. Colin is the perfect host, very attentive, knowledgeable of the area and looked after us well. Breakfast was a lovely; full English in a cosy setting. The room was fine with all amenities. It was our birthdays whilst there and Colin decorated the room, these touches are most appreciated. Definitely recommend 10/10”
