“According to the Expedia website, the property has a sauna. At the check-in desk, they said it has not been running for over 4 years because Expedia did not update their details. This was disappointing. However, I messaged the property asking about it a couple of days after my arrival, but they never responded. Other wise convenient hotel, with good parking. ”

“Love the room, clean, all the necessary facilities, quiet. Food was great, breakfast freshly cooked and included in the room cost. What’s not to like. Staff also very friendly, helpful and and attentive.”

“This was the second time to visit The Blue Boar. They had a problem beyond their control in that the boiler broke so we had three dsys with no hot water . The rest of our stay was great . Steve front of house manager was great and keeps things running like clockwork. Lucas the barman is an asset to the establishment what an absolutely nice person . We were wonderfully greated by Roxy a waitress who remembered us from our previous stay . All in all a great three day's and I'm sure in time we...

“Hotel and room were very nice, however a hidden parking cost was not appreciated. Was told I needed to pay for parking at reception on arrival, when I mentioned to manager(?) that evening that it showed that parking was free both on Expedia and their official website he said it was a new charge that they obviously hadn't updated online, but was given no choice but to pay or leave (hotel is on a main road near no other options!)”

“Great location for me Room lovely and clean with all amenities you could need Excellent communication Free parking with plenty of space Wi-Fi for free Very close to a takeaway in case you get hungry Self check in but a number was given to contact owners if any issues. Only downside , radiator which was working well stopped in the night and i woke up cold, however there was a spare blanket in the wardrobe. ”
