"We had a very unsettling experience at this hotel. When we went to settle into bed, we noticed the mattress was barely covered by a sheet. As we pulled it up, we found visible blood stains on the mattress, with additional spotting the more we uncovered. This raised serious biohazard concerns and was completely unacceptable from a cleanliness and safety standpoint. We reported it to the front desk right away, and to their credit, they did move us to another room. The second room was generally fine, though it had a noticeable odor that made it less comfortable. Early that evening ,we received a phone alert that the water would be shut off at 6 a.m. Traveling with a child, this was a major inconvenience and ultimately the deciding factor for us to leave rather than continue our stay. Unfortunately, the front desk was not helpful when we raised these concerns. We were told no manager would be available until Sunday, and despite the issues and our early departure, we were still charged for the stay. Overall, this experience was disappointing and frustrating, especially given the serious sanitation issues, potential health risks, and lack of responsive customer service."

"Beautiful Property, Great Pool, Clean Rooms and Comfy bed. Staff at reception are hit & miss. Not super friendly Concierge and Parking attendants wonderful. Pool area clean and well stocked with towels. Location fantastic and Gym equipment in excellent shape. We were upgraded at check in (with a charge that we were unaware of until check-out) The check in agent wasn't very clear and soft spoken. The room was beautiful but dark and no ocean view at all - however there was construction or something happening above us. We walked by the room above to see if maybe it was a laundry area or something, but it was a room and there were workers in it- when we asked about moving at reception he argued and said- no - there is no one in that room - and offered to move us to it! We suggested that they might want to check on that - someone was in the room. He didn't care. We chose to go back to the room we had originally booked - partial ocean view and were very happy there- At check-out we had to request a refund of the charge of the upgrade. The agent at checkout was delightful. "

"The location is perfect. The rooms are small, but our intent was not to stay in the room. The room also only has an opaque window. The temperature, bed and linens were all fine. Room and bathroom were clean. We only saw staff one time, and they were friendly. The main attraction for this hotel is the location, which is unbeatable. Just a few steps from the boardwalk and beach and multiple walkable shops and restaurants. Be sure to try Brother's Burritos which is just a few doors down."

"I was disappointed that I arrived earlier than I usually do for trips and the room was still being cleaned. Check-in is at 3pm & I arrived at 4:30. We had to wait a while until it was ready. Once we were inside there was an odor, I believe it was from the used towel to clean. There was lint & hair on multiple counter spaces. Maybe it was because it was cleaned in a hurry at the end… I was hoping the manager (person who checked me in) would offer a discount or something for this error but got nothing. I did love how spacious the room was & how close it was to the beach & pierre. "

"We Loved this place !!! It was such a relief from the endless line of perfectly sterile and boring hotels we find everywhere . We wanted to stay someplace close to the beach that had a real historic vibe , and we got exactly that ! Authentic decore, simple kitchen where we cooked our own dinner and bfast. Bed was amazing as were the linens . Loved the ambiance !"

"The beach view is amazing! The staff are really friendly and helpful! The housekeeping was a little irregular. It seems as though I got different toiletries every day, which was a little odd. The room smelled some too. I think the carpets could use a good cleaning to get rid of that. Otherwise, it was a great room and location. Would stay here again!"
