Great budget hotel in an excellent location!

I stayed here One night before catching a flight to Myanmar and I really enjoyed it. The hotel is very old and my first room didn't have working AC, but the lady in the front quickly changed my room and everything was fine. The Best thing about this hotel is that it's in an excellent location for walking in Krabi Town. Right across the street is a wonderful café with some of the best coffee I've had in Thailand. There is also a 7/11 and the taxi bus one minute away. It’s also walking distance to the Pagoda and plenty of night markets and food around. Overall this is a great option for budget traveler who just need a place to crash before taking a flight but also want to be close enough to explore the city.

Very comfortable and clean. Also quiet. It is not high season yet but I never saw another guest on my floor. Big room and big hotel. The only negative would be was no hot water

The Vieng Thong Hotel is quite overpriced in respect to the property and other hotels in thailand. I’ve stayed in Bangkok, Pattaya, Krabi and Phuket but this hotel has charged a lot. The staff was good but cant speak much English.

Ok hotell med bra läge till ett bra pris

Äldre hotel med bra läge. Vissa rum är renoverade alla beklämligheter finns och det är sköna sängar. Bra wifi. Frukostmatsalen var som en stor festlokal och de genomsmutsiga fönstren i matsalen gav ett väldigt dåligt intryck. Närhet till shopping, lokalbuss, nattmarknad och matmarknaden som dukar upp för middag vid floden.

The worse place I have ever stayed!

I would never go back to this hotel! The staff was very unfriendly, the hotel is really old.. The fridge and air con wasn't working properly, there was a warning to not smoke in the premises when we opened the door from our room the staff was smoking in the corridor, making the room very smelly. the floor in the lobby(elevator) was wet I fell off and no one from the reception came to help me, not even to ask if I was ok. They stayed there just looking at me. There is many hostels and hotels around this one charging the same price, so do yourself a favor to not stay at Vieng Thong Hotel.

Large cockroach!

The initial room 340 had a large cockroach. I tried to kill it and it ran away. Went down stairs and they moved me to another room. I was happy about their swift action. Then i was about to shower in my new room....and from the drain pipe a 3.5inch cockroach ran out. I managed to kill it but super grossed out! The whole bathroom floods in room 340 when you shower. The flooding happens beyond the shower area, it goes up to the toilet bowl area. Around an 1inch of water bring some thick flip flops. Staff was nice. Location was good. Right by the day / night market. Closed to long boat pier.
