Great location for shopping and visiting Kyoto’s sights. The staff were most helpful and the room was comfortable, clean and modern with a great bathroom.
The hotel itself was amazing and comfortable. Very clean and spacious.
It is a bit away from nearby stations and the Nishiki market so be prepared to walk.
Large room for a Japanese hotel. Room was clean and very comfortable. 10-15 minute walk from the centre of the action. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Luggage delivery available from the front desk and was a good deal (approx 5000yen from Kyoto to hotel in Tokyo) Would stay again.
Great over all but it was an extreme dusty in the room. Every surface area had dust on it. The room was a decent size for my family no complaints aside from the dust.
Staff was amazing! Very friendly and accommodating!
There was a complimentary bread and coffee service every morning which never failed to disappoint
I love this hotel. It is very safe, there are a big grocery store within a few feet, easy access to the bus station, walkable distance to Shijo subway station, Nijo Castle, and Don Quijote(this one is about 20 min walk, doable.) The room is clean, the price is reasonable and staff is super helpful and friendly. I totally recommand this hotel.
Great location! Very easy to use the trains around here. Very clean and super friendly staff! Tea and waters in entrance every day which is lovely to take advantage of. Recommend!
Grocery store nearby and great food options are nearby. Beds and overall room is great. They have paid breakfast but also a free breakfast with sugar, waffles and some bread and a toaster oven. The overall hotel doesn't really look like a hotel from the outside, as inside they have a bar facing the outside and then the check-in is a little deeper in so that was a little hard to find
The breakfast set that came with our booking was the highlight of our stay at this hotel. It was delicious and very filling.
We also got really lucky that we were give a room on the top floor with a really nice view of Kyoto. If it wasn't for that, I would only give this rating 3 stars.
However, my big complaint is that this does not feel like you're staying at a 4 star hotel. We stayed at a 4 star hotel in Tokyo and the room there was much bigger. The room at this hotel felt cramped with our luggage. The bathroom at this hotel also does not have a tub. All the other hotels we've stayed at during our Japan vacation had a bath tub except for this one. In my opinion, this place is more of a 3 star hotel.
