Beautiful design of the hotel, it looks just like its photos! Convenient location for us - just a 5 min walk from Kyoto station. It’s a quieter neighbourhood, about 20min by transit to the Gion area (we appreciated the quiet). The staff were helpful and welcoming. We had a family room and it fit our family of 5 very well. I would recommend this hotel!

Fantastic hotel and a great way to experience Japanese living. Not quite what I would call a full ryokan, our room fortunately had it's own bathroom and tub, while still having the tatami matt floor and futons. The tub was a deep soaker and set up to provide a private onsen experience. We really enjoyed our stay
