Our stay in Kyoto was clean, comfortable, and had an ideal location for exploring the city. Just steps away from covered shopping shopping areas, a short walk to Nishiki Market, and about a mile from Gion. The accessibility to the highlights of the city was wonderful, and made planning and running back to the room to drop things off simple. Restaurants and bars were minutes away walking. The close proximity to covered shopping areas, made rainy days able to be enjoyed.

We only stayed here for one night while in Kyoto but there were a few issues for us - you can’t control the air-conditioning - the staff has it locked - my husband messed with it for 30 minutes until we saw the note in the room - it was pretty warm in the room, so that was frustrating - it also was a bit loud because the hotel is in a busy area. However, the rest of the hotel was great. Staff was very nice and they held our extra luggage before and after checkout. Wouldn’t recommend for a long-term stay.
