Might have been our favourite stay during our trip. Prime location. Quiet. Great access to Nashiki Market. Clean. Good size space. Definitely would stay at a Miramu place again.

Excellent room for families, and washing machine in the room was great. All needs met including the loan of a toaster for breakfast. Location was good for buses, trains and walking to tourist spots. Staff were lovely and always greeted us with a warm welcome. If I had to be picky, the block out blinds didn't block much but if that's the worst thing, its pretty good. Highly reccomend.

We loved the hotel, the location, the staff was very kind as well. We stayed in one of the amazing Pokémon rooms. This was our 2nd hotel of 3 on this trip so also very convenient with the washing machine in the room.

What a gem the MIMARU Kyoto Shinmachi Sanjo turned out to be! Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, the hotel was ideally located, with wonderful restaurants just steps away, including three right across the street from the entrance. We tried two of them and would happily return to both. Nishiki Market and Teramachi Shopping Street were also just a short walk away, making it easy to explore the area. As a bonus, we had a single unit washer/dryer unit to allow us to clean our clothes for that part of the journey and our final stop back in Tokyo. The staff were wonderful throughout our stay, always greeting us warmly whenever we came and went. Combined with the peaceful surroundings and excellent nearby dining, the hotel made a fantastic home base for exploring Kyoto. A little bonus tip for fellow travelers: If you’re visiting Kyoto before July 2027 and are looking for quality Japanese knives or shears, Hayakawa Hamonoten is about a 20-minute trip from the hotel. Just be sure to arrive early to get in line, and in my opinion, even though the wait can be long, it’s worth planning ahead.

We were a family of four and space is a huge deal for us in oder for our younger one to fall asleep while we are up. The amenities and location was also especially great. Lots of restaurants and places to visit within walking distance. We will look into other Mimaru hotels we didn't expect a Japanese hotel to have these size rooms. Also such a family kid friendly hotel with a play area for the kids at the lobby area. I look at reviews to see what others think I hope this helps someone else be able to book this hotel where space, location, washing machines are imported.
