I appreciate your review during your busy time.I'm afraid, we have one room with a private shower and toilet, but we don't have the room which has the private bathroom with bathtub.We have two shared bathrooms and we have 5 guest rooms in total, and since the baths were renovated at the end of 2021, they are less crowded than before.We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause as reservations are required, but you will keep the privacy and we hope that you will be able to rest and recuperate of your trip in big Japanese wooden bath.Moreover, we would like to you to use this as an opportunity to experience Japanese culture.In addition, two of the five rooms have private toilets (Satsuki and Aoi), and guests in the remaining three rooms have shared toilets, but there are three shared toilets within the building.Although it is not a dedicated toilet, we do our best to keep the toilet clean by cleaning and inspecting it frequently.It is very difficult to construct a bath and toilet in each room because our Ryokan was built in 1909 as private residence in the first place and our building have as registered tangible cultural property.We think we would like to carry on this traditional building to the next era.I would appreciate if you could understand.Even in the situation, we are striving to support our guest's stay to make you feel relax and comfortable.However, we apologize that we cannot live up to your expectation.This time our service doesn't satisfy you, but we will think about what we can do to satisfy our guests and strive to provide higher quality service.We would happy if you choose us for your stay when you visit to Kyoto again.The room called Aoi has a private shower and toilet, so we hope you stay there next time.Toshiharu Ryokan

However, once you enter the 115-year-old building, you will feel as if you have traveled back in time to Japan 100 years ago.It's very cold in Kyoto in January, so I use a heater to keep my room warm.Common spaces such as the hallway have a nice view of the garden, but as you said, there are some areas that are not sufficiently protected against the cold.We are committed to strengthening measures to protect common spaces from the cold, such as by increasing the number of heating devices.
