"A lovely traditional house in a typical Cretan village away from the tourist hotspots. Our host spoke good English and was very welcoming and helpful. The bakery sells wonderful trays of Baklava which we enjoyed on our spacious roof terrace, a great place for breakfast too. "
"A small group of modern appartments in a rural location with a great pool and stunning views. 20 min walk from village with good restaurants and shops. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. Going breakfast available.
The walk back from the village is steep but a taxi was 5 Euros. If you get the exact Google Maps location it is not difficult to find. "
"Nice propaty if you manage to book sea view , very nice pool area , the beach not so good if you can book only B/B it beter as the dinner is not tasty to my opinion"

"Lovely property. Excellent swim up rooms and clean hotel with good selection of drinks. Our only honest criticism would be the quality of buffet food and range of Greek food which was lacking. The kids pool is substandard and not to the same quality as the pools and facilities elsewhere. Other than that, we had a lovely time and would still return. "
"Positives :
* Beautiful location in the mountains with amazing beach views
* Very large, spacious resort with lots to explore
* Fresh, delicious, and varied food every day
* Excellent entertainment with daily shows and activities
* Incredible animation team – young, energetic, and friendly
* Great family-friendly atmosphere with a Kids Club and safe grounds
* Multiple saltwater pools and a dedicated children’s pool
* Two on-site mini markets for essentials and souvenirs
* Shuttle to the beach runs 3 times a day
* Shops nearby and excursion kiosks available
* Helpful map and guide provided at check-in
Things to keep in mind
⚠️ Lots of stairs between buildings – expect walking
⚠️ Beach towels not included – bring or buy your own
⚠️ Smoking is common outdoors, especially during shows. This is not specific to the hotel but something to keep in mind that smoking is common in Greece.
⚠️ Restaurants require reservations – buffet is the best option
Family room was clean and comfortable
Minor bathroom issue fixed quickly by maintenance
✅ Overall: Wonderful experience – highly recommended!"
"Beautifully landscaped resort with excellent food options and friendly, attentive staff. Pleasant distance from the airport for transfers.
Great for kids (they loved the water slide). Only negatives; most of the pool tables in the games area are missing a full set of balls. Can be tricky securing sunloungers by the pool areas and the nighttime entertainment can be a bit noisy if staying near the amphitheatre.
The beach is clean and super accessible. The sea is very rocky underfoot here but we enjoyed that because it means there’s an abundance of fish to view in shallow water close to the shore. Excellent for newbie snorkellers and/ or kids.
Overall we had a wonderful, relaxed holiday in a gorgeous setting with an excellent selection of food available almost 24/7. Would not hesitate to stay here again. "
"Hersonissos is very chill. My hotel was fabulous- did not see a need to go out to clubs, etc., except for excursions, as it was all inclusive. There was nightly entertainment, 5 pools, several restaurants, and my own private beach. Very kid/family friendly as well as singles. "
"This was a 1 night stay prior to a longer booking, in a basic room. I was also here last year. Don’t be scared of a solo trip, the people are fantastic and you will be made to feel very welcome and not alone.
The guests are hit and miss, some are a bit rowdy, some doing photo shoots the whole time but it’s easy to find some quiet space. Most are couples in their 30s. The rooms are soundproofed, I stayed on a top floor and couldn’t hear any neighbours which was a relief, food is fantastic but large portions. All inclusive is a must so that you can relax and let the wonderful people bring you drinks and snacks. I had a wonderful massage to start my trip, and a meal in the lovely Greek restaurant.
Outside gym has some really cool equipment.
I think the resort is non smoking, which is a relief as many Greek people smoke (there are mostly English people here), there are a lot of vapers.
I travel to 5 star hotels for work, and I cannot say enough good things about the staff here, they are without exception friendly and helpful and in a resort like this, they make the difference between a 5 star trip and a less decent holiday. I will definitely return next year. I also stayed in the grand bungalow which was easily the best hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. I’d advise anyone to book a swim up room at least, to avoid sunbed wars at the pool. "
"For me this was a near perfect set up if you want to relax and unwind, having a collection of villa's rather than a single building means it doesn't feel cramped, likewise being spread out over a big site meant you rarely felt you had to worry about getting a space by the pool like you can at other places. The staff could not be more helpful, most of the extras food and drink where good value and a mini market onsite meant you could top up any supplies easily. No real negatives other than the "mocktails" were incredibly expensive compared to normal soft drinks but that is a choice I made equally the local town is VERY touristy and so don't go there expecting an authentic Greek experience. If I want to chill for a week by the pool in the sun this would be top of my list."
