“Hot”water was just tepid. No stand for suitcase. Lighting in bathroom too low for makeup application. No tea in room, only coffee. Room itself is charming, but noisy. Because of the motel like setup, you can hear people using the pool and traffic. The staff were lovely. But at 72, this just wasn’t my cup of tea….haha

Hotel did an amazing remodel, every detail paid attention to. Could hang out all day in the lobby. Gym had very high tech treadmills (x3), peloton, free weights and KB’s up to 40lbs, 2x benches, tv, stretching and yoga equipment. I recently stayed at Tiller House in Laguna Hills for my birthday weekend. By far the best stay I’ve had at a hotel in Laguna. The rooms were clean and had modern yet classy decor. They offered complimentary water, slippers and playing cards which was a sweet touch. The things that stood out the most were the food at breakfast and the staff. I had the best avocado toast ever there and our waiter was so incredibly kind. We had a minor plumbing issue our first day and maintenance was there within 5 minutes. Everyone was very sweet to my young daughter and even gave her compliments on her manners. Definitely a proud mom moment. Laguna is a place I always go to to relax and decompress from my hectic job. Tiller House is located in a business area and conveniently near the freeway. After our great experience and warm welcome from staff, I will always stay at Tiller House when coming to Laguna.

Third time staying and really like hotel. Friendly staff and very accommodating. But five days after checkout I received a charge from hotel for 30 dollars. Odd, why am I getting a charge? I called the hotel and asked why I was charged 30 dollars an hour ago to my card. After being on hold for quite some time I was informed it was for parking. Now I have already stayed here 2 other times and was never charged parking also why would you charge me 5 days later? When I asked I was told I was comped the last two stays. I explained when checking in I was never told there was a fee for parking, it’s more a principle thing at this point l, if I were told there was a charge checking in and charged at checkout fine. Buyt five days later? And no real explanation why, that I have an issue with. Not even it’s a new policy we apologize, nothing. I live close by and this was my go to place if I need to stay for a night or two but now not so sure. Not a good look or business practice.
