Website said it came with a TV and DVD player. No DVD player and when I called, they said that there haven't been DVD players in the rooms for 4 years! TV was a pain to figure out how to watch live. No good instructions. Having no one on the property (management) was also a downside. Would not stay again!

I was a little disappointed with the stay - to be clear this is a motel. Rooms are clean and comfortable but are very small and the heating system is always blowing air, even when heating is off. Advertised with breakfast included but it was not. It’s affordable and centrally located - as well as close to Heavenly ski resort so I would recommend for a solo skier but it’s a bit of a squeeze for two people.

Room conditions and amenities are very basic, 2-star at most. Great location - effortless self parking, and a short walking to Heavenly's free shuttle.

Perfect Cozy rooms!
My wife and I love the Heavenly Valley Lodge and have stayed multiple times. Contactless check-in, comfortable and cozy rooms, and easy access to all of South Lake Tahoe's attractions make this the perfect place to stay.

Great for what it is! Cozy with a fireplace and complete kitchen area. Great to stay a couple nights for snowboarding/skiing in the area.

Nice place, pictures a little deceiving.
When we opened the door to the room it was not like the pictures on the website. It was much smaller. Very little room in main area other than the bed. Overall good location, parking lot was good, and room was clean. The space in the room was much smaller than anticipated.

The room advertised was tiny, barely any room to move and tv was so high it hurt the neck to watch it. Will never stay there again.

Great weekend getaway
Bed was sooo comfortable. Gas fireplace was nice cleaning staff was very helpful. Place is not new but we’ll kept and nice and cozy. Great weekend getaway

Okay
Quiet location. We had a room away from the road. But, plastic utensils and paper cups for coffee, were weak, along with soap products being full of sulphates. No one to ask basic questions to, and binder lacked information we were seeking.

Terrible
Nothing like the photos. Tiny little rooms. Very old. Only place to plug in was way up near the TV. We were supposed to stay two days, but left and went to a hotel after the 1st night.

Heavenly Valley Lodge was perfect. Great area. Quiet. Room was wonderful. Had everything you needed. Shower a little small but everything was great. Will definitely book again!

Our fireplace did not work properly. The pilot light came on, but it never "lit up" the logs to have an actual fire, or put out any kind of heat. Also, the maid service knocked on our door at 9:00 a.m. asking if she could clean the room, even though we had a "do not disturb" sign on the front door. We were only staying one night, so had to check out by 11:00 a.m. anyway.

No front desk or lobby
We arrived in Tahoe just before check in and decided to see if our room was ready. We couldn’t find the office but a very nice young man greeted us and said there had been no office since Covid and that I was supposed to receive an email regarding checking in with a code. We had not received that but he was kind enough to look it all up for us. We were so glad that we stopped in early because if we had waited until after the concert we may not have been able to get in having received no information. Otherwise the room was comfortable and clean with a little kitchenette. Wi-fi was very weak!

Lousy shower
The layout is criwded and awkward. Poor lighting. The worst feature is the shower. The floor is so slippery it feels like walking on a shet of ice. Extremely dangerous and i wpuld never use it again.

The Goldilocks was nicer than the Birdhouse Retweet… but it was more remodeled and was bigger, of course, with a King size bed. Had a short blackout in the area, which was not the resort’s fault. We will stay here again!
