โEverything is "unique" about Captain Grant's!...The perfect hosts Carol and Ted; the ambience; the beautiful furnishings; the cozy room with all the amenities; the absolutely fabulous breakfast w/ mimosas, pancakes with real maple syrup and blueberry topping on a exquisitely, complete totally antique, setting table arrangement; all the available extras...beer, wine, coffee. tea, brandy in the room, etc. A most wonderful experienceโ
โHotel was clean and very easy to get to. It's only a 5 minute drive to Mohegan Sun and they offer shuttle service to and from that runs every 30 minutes. The staff was very friendly and the room was spacious and cleanโ
โIt was a great stay. It was our first time staying at a Bed and Breakfast and will certainly not be our last now with such a great experience we had at the House of 1833. Evan was an exceptional host/chef. He gave us a tour of the home and the history. The breakfast in the morning was incredible from the homemade apple cranberry muffin to the Greek Italian Mac & Cheese Spinach Souffle. We would highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a quiet, yet close to town place to stay. โ
โConvenient location, large clean suite room, and nice breakfast included. This is a good option for a big family. Unfortunately the outdoor pool was green during our stay making it unusable.โ
